When meeting a spiritual friend, do not engage in frivolous activities, but see them as the actual Buddha. Do not speculate on their misdeeds, but contemplate the goodness of their actions. Do not find fault, but hold their words as authoritative. Do not be two-faced, but keep your vows steadfastly. If you do so, you will become a vessel for the profound meaning, and there will be no need for a guru. If you are not a suitable vessel, who but a madman would proclaim the secret meaning to the destruction of oneself and others? Therefore, if you wish to obtain the profound secret mantra, follow the instructions in the tantras on how to rely on a holy being. The way to practice after receiving instructions is not by elevating your status. Combine your own faculties with the appropriate time and circumstances, and condense whatever object of focus you have into a key point in your mind. Even if you spend many years idly, it will be difficult to generate good, constant warmth in your being. Whatever practice you engage in, whether it is Kama, Terma, or pure vision teachings, learn to be skilled in all its beginnings and ends. Some great meditators who view listening and contemplation as enemies should look at how they have cut off their share of supreme and common siddhis. The root of all siddhis is samaya It must be free from contradiction with the three vows. Therefore, protect your vows like the apple of your eye. If you violate your vows, no matter how diligently you practice generation and completion stages, or recitations, it will not protect you, and you will go to the lower realms, as the Powerful One has said. The single life force of all the excellent paths of sutra and tantra is the emptiness that destroys all fixations, and the great compassion that embraces all beings. Do not leave these as mere generalities. When meditating on the generation stage, from the protective vajra tent to the wisdom being that is the heart essence of the main deity, without any before or after, you must visualize the dependent and the object of dependence arising simultaneously in your mind. However, it will not work if it is just a vague, fleeting glimpse. You must clearly visualize the black and white of the eyes, the outline of the face, the lines of the hands and feet, and the complete marks and signs and expressions. The nine peaceful postures, the nine wrathful dances, the thirteen ornaments, and the charnel ground adornments, each with their own characteristics, the way the pendants are hung and the knots are tied, must appear exactly as they are. Not like a stiff puppet or a rainbow-like illusion, but with the nature of wisdom, love, and power. You must clearly visualize the wisdom aggregate body with the twenty-five sense consciousnesses and so on. Whether you meditate on the elaborate or simple completion stage, each

Regarding the vital points of the channels, energies, and bindus of our tradition, it is crucial to strike the essential points in order to generate wisdom. Profound instructions must be mastered. Our tradition primarily emphasizes the inseparability of profound view and clear seeing, as well as the absence of elaboration in practices such as abiding meditation. Nevertheless, relying on these methods, one should generate devotion and experience towards the deity, draw in great bliss, purify the obscurations of knowledge, and unite the mind with the wisdom of meaning, as well as the methods for purifying the channels and energies. All the well-known key points of the path in general tantras must be understood as the essence of their convergence, not just as mere words. Whatever of the four activities one engages in, the fundamental motivation should be the great path of enlightenment, and the motivation of the moment should be the arrows of the target. One should possess the non-contradictory qualities of being skilled in means. Wherever and whenever one practices with mindfulness, one should skillfully tame limitless beings in limitless realms, engaging in the activities of limitless Buddhas. If one does not engage in the practice of vast samadhi, then merely opening the mandala of fierce mantras to avert temporary obstacles for householders, male and female, is inappropriate and greatly sinful, like flogging a king who has no legal authority. When performing rituals for the sick or transferring consciousness for the deceased, one should have the motivation of limitless compassion, combining the two stages and subsequent secret mantra rituals, benefiting beings with profound rituals, as taught by the Buddha. However, without clairvoyance, one arrogantly covets wealth, spreads false rumors, and treats the flesh of killed beings as delicious food. And yet, they still talk about karma and dharma! Alas, the deception of fools is the path to lower realms. Do not associate with such people; reflect on yourself. In short, whether one is alone or mingling with people, one should gradually examine one's own mind. Good and bad are merely conceptual thoughts. Whether or not one can please crude people, whether fools praise or criticize, if one has no regrets at the time of death, then one needs no better dharma than that. Thus, one should speak beneficial advice. Even if one is not skilled in eloquent words and composition, one should speak the thoughts and memories that arise in one's mind. May this accomplish the benefit of oneself and others! May all be auspicious! Homage! The Buddha who possesses the ten powers and his sons, and the great bodhisattvas who possess incomparable wisdom,
