May the arising appearances of perception be liberated, please protect them! Apart from that, there are no essential instructions for practice. I have repeatedly requested before, there is nothing more to say besides that, please practice these! Thus, urged by a Dharma-friendly companion, this aimless wanderer wrote these. Although there are no definite profound meanings, I have spoken my heartfelt words with sincerity. May this virtue, in all lifetimes, be inseparable as one. In the presence of the accomplished master and consort, may I be born and rejoice in the Dharma, I pray! May there be auspiciousness and goodness! ༈ Namo Guru (藏文, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning). By relying on whom, all accumulations of faults are destroyed, and is the basis for the arising of the ocean of merit, goodness, and qualities. Having paid homage to the essence of the Three Jewels, the Lord of Dharma, the virtuous spiritual friend. The sun of the Sugata's Dharma, the eye of beings, and related to the teachings of the protector. If I offer these beneficial words to you, please cherish them in your heart with love! The happiness and wealth of existence are illusory dancers. This one alone has deceived beings in the past. Accompanied throughout life, but when entering the path of death. One goes alone. Beautiful words and fame are like sandcastles. Difficult to accomplish, easy to destroy, a way to deceive children. Even if one strives to accomplish them with exhaustion. Someday they will reveal the truth of illusion. In bad times, no matter how much you respect friendly friends. It is difficult to please them as you wish. They do not notice good deeds, even a little bit. Unable to tolerate bad things, they show expressions of anger. Even with loving smiles and sweet words. And with the necessary items, serving with reverence. When one is poor, like a rotting corpse. Who would trust a friend who abandons you? Without regard for sin, disregarding suffering. Even at the cost of life, traveling throughout Tibet and China. Some wealthy people who have diligently traveled and accumulated wealth. Have mostly died of starvation, have you seen that? Upwards, they do not forget to offer to the Three Jewels. Downwards, they are unwilling to give to beggars. In between, they are unable to enjoy it themselves. Food and wealth bound by stinginess. Mostly at the time of death, meaninglessly by people. With various means such as fighting and deception. Taken away at will, leaving behind sin and karmic consequences. Have you seen that?

Sama! In general, do not trust conditioned dharmas. Especially in this degenerate age, even a father cannot trust his son, and the sincerity of a friend turns into the sharpest point of an enemy. What was said yesterday becomes a lie today, and if you entrust a secret word, it will be spread throughout the country. Praising to the face and speaking ill behind the back. If you speak beneficial and heartfelt words, it pricks the ears. Alas, evil times, evil people. It is a great mistake to take sides with such people. Human hearts are unpredictable, so let go. Devote your heart to the guru, that is the right way. Nowadays, some mediocre spiritual friends like people who are powerful, wealthy, and of high status. Even if they don't want to ask for instructions, they say, "I will give them." They take gifts of offerings and follow behind, flattering. Even if they have the three faiths, if they are not rich enough, let alone giving dharma, they won't even give a white smile. The opportunity to show is like the sun peeking through the clouds. Doesn't this kind of thing make you feel disheartened and sad? Claiming to want the Dharma, but having deceitful thoughts. With hands devoid of faith, they teach how to clap. Without devotion, they inquire about illness and ask for healing. They act with eyes that perceive evil deeds. Pretending to be a lama without even a hair's breadth of Dharma vision. With deceitful behavior, they turn good and bad upside down. Not satisfied with just talking about the common points of Sutra and Tantra, they also ask for generation stage, completion stage meditation instructions, and Dzogchen. They buy the root downfalls of mantra with a high price. Knowingly, they throw themselves into hell. While giving teachings on the Dharma, they expose the faults of the Dharma speakers and abandon their vows. Rather than doing that kind of Dharma activity, it is better to sit and bask in the sun leisurely. It is an unpredicted action, with no benefit or harm. However, placing so much importance on these things, hiding the eight worldly concerns in your heart, hoping to gain fame as a wise person for the sake of this life's gain and fame. Treating the lama as a hireling, the Dharma as wages, and oneself as a hunter, diligently shooting arrows. The fruit of Dharma accomplishment will be lost elsewhere, accepting the five inverted perceptions. In such an evil time, there is no need to give teachings or rely on a lama. It is better to be in a solitary mountain, remembering the Buddhas, and praying with single-minded faith. Just like the reflection of the moon appearing in a clear lake, the compassion of the Buddha will never be outdated. Truly possessing the signs.
