The venerable one's instructions stated: 'To gesture in order to speak skillfully and tactfully,' even if hundreds of thousands of Geshes gather, they will listen with humility, speaking their own tenets with respect. So it is. There, the tradition of twenty days of Prajnaparamita lectures, the amount of silver coins, and the granting of fields were established, as well as the explanation and practice of the auspicious aspiration prayer of Je Rinpoche. In Dzogchen Monastery, three monthly Prajnaparamita lectures were held each year, and fields were granted, establishing the tradition of seven days of explanation and practice. In Ge Gong, the tradition of Prajnaparamita and practice was established, and it remains unbroken to this day. De Mang, De Gab, etc., the upper and lower reaches of the Dza River, Sertar, Dozhi Smar Sum, Xie Dzog, Lingtsang, and other monasteries, villages, and nomadic areas were almost all traversed by foot, and many virtuous deeds of explanation and practice were performed for the benefit of Buddhism and sentient beings, becoming the complete masters of the teachings. Whether explaining the scriptures of the new or old schools, all were explained according to their respective traditions, without mixing them. In particular, the Bodhicharyavatara was explained according to the commentary of Jetsun Sonam Tsemo in the Sakya school, according to the notes and Dar Taka in the Gelug school, according to the commentary of Pawo Tsuklak Trengwa in the Kagyu school, and according to the great commentary of Sherjung Lodro and the initial commentary in the Nyingma school. At those times, there was no bias towards the new or old schools, and no inappropriate words of debate, self-praise, or disparagement of others, and no words that would become a source of hatred due to the times were mixed in at all. Instead, the explanations were given according to the tradition of the commentator, and the self-explanation of each was clear and distinct, pure and profound, the essential points of the meaning were concentrated, and it did not fall into the extremes of being too elaborate or too concise, but was spoken in the context of practice. Therefore, many participants in the Lhasa Monlam Chenmo scattered flowers of praise and prostrated with respect. Hor Khang Sar Kyabgon came and requested that the verse known as 'the words of the degraded ascetic,' which begins with 'Who consumes the three realms as a mouthful of food,' be explained in the manner of a lecture, so he summarized the main points and explained them. While residing for a long time in the Sheldrak Cave of Dampa Padma Ri Go, the chamberlain of Derge, Tashi De

At the request of ེ་ལེགས་, he composed the wonderful story called "The Drama of the Lotus Garden," which is in accordance with the Dharma, and composed the great prayer of Kyentse, "Auspicious Virtue." Later, he mainly resided at and around Rdza Gyal Monastery, the seat of the master Avalokiteśvara. He gave various teachings on the Five Treatises of Maitreya, the Root Wisdom (Sanskrit: मूलमध्यमककारिका, Roman transliteration: Mūlamadhyamakakārikā, literal Chinese meaning: Fundamental Treatise on the Middle Way), the Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra, the Treasury of Qualities, the Bhadracaryāpraṇidhāna, and so on. Previously, when Dpal Dge bSam gTan Phun Tshogs was building the great stone mound, it is said that he promised to build a stone mound in the next life that would not be much smaller than this one to complete it. Just like that, urged by the faithful 'Jam dByangs Blo gros and others from the A thub tshang great official family, and spending four or five years, regardless of high or low status, cherishing the amount of offerings differently than before. Collecting many good stone carvings, he built a completion that was larger and more authoritative than the previous stone mound. He carefully and meticulously checked all the stone-carved reliefs, so that in the end, a very beautiful and high-quality work was completed. At that time, even beggars wandering on the edge of the villages became invisible. The teachings say: Building statues and stupas is very beneficial to many sentient beings, but earth stupas and earth statues are destroyed by rain; those made of copper and gold are subject to thieves if the owner is bad; wall paintings and thangkas are also easily damaged; if a temple is built, hundreds of efforts are needed to find a steward to properly store the dripping water, and their food and clothing, etc. Even if this is done, it is difficult to find a good steward who will continue through the generations. Scriptures are also easily lost, damaged, and wasted, and even if the printed text is proofread nine times during printing, there are still many incorrect places, so it is difficult not to be contaminated by the three: omission, addition, and error. Once this stone mound is built, there is no need to deal with dripping water in the summer, no need to sweep away snow in the winter, no need to protect pigeons and mice, and no need to appoint a steward, etc. As long as these six syllables (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ मणि पद्मे हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Om Mani Padme Hum) are not mistaken, there is no need to proofread, because it is in the minds of the black stone carvers, so there is no need to look at other models. Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Om Mani Padme Hum) is the Buddha himself.
