Resolve firmly and chant the six-syllable mantra! What is the use of wealth with a narrow mind? Look at how accumulated things are left behind. Now it is best to cut off self-grasping and attachment. Abandon accumulation and effort, and chant the six-syllable mantra! What is the use of sleeping, being immersed in ignorance? Look at how life is wasted in idleness. Now it is best to generate diligence from the heart. Abandoning daytime and nighttime distractions, chant the six-syllable mantra! There is no time, no time, no leisure to stay. What will happen if the Lord of Death suddenly arrives? Now it is best to accomplish the Dharma immediately. Right now, enthusiastically chant the six-syllable mantra! What is the use of counting years, months, and days? Look at how the present moment changes. Each moment passes, approaching death. Now, right now, chant the six-syllable mantra! Life goes further and further like the sun. The Lord of Death comes closer and closer like a shadow. Now the remaining life is just like the setting sun and a shadow. There is no time to stay, chant the six-syllable mantra! The six-syllable mantra is good in the Dharma, But reciting with a wandering mouth and eyes will not produce results. Verbal recitation is attached to numbers, the mind is scattered. Focus on one mind and chant the six-syllable mantra! If you repeatedly examine your own mind, No matter what you do, you will go on the right path. All the essential instructions are gathered here, Reduce all problems to one and chant the six-syllable mantra! First, a lament about being weary of the actions of the degenerate age. These words are self-admonishments, Words of lamentation for the transformation from the depths of the heart. I offer them to you, wondering if you feel the same. Different from the confidence of high view, meditation, and conduct, And the wisdom to accomplish worldly and spiritual activities. If you have the desire and insight to convince yourself and others, I will confess and repent. In the middle, a talk about establishing view, meditation, and conduct. Although I do not have the experience of realization, I am explaining the meaning protected by the precious teachings of the omniscient father and son lineage. Finally, a talk encouraging renunciation and Dharma practice. These words have no special meaning, but it is implied. However, if you do not contradict the intentions of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and practice accordingly, it will be a great kindness. Thus, from beginning to end, these are auspicious words.

First written by Abu Hralpo. Even if it's just empty talk, what does it matter? May this stream of virtuous deeds, free from error, become the cause for you, me, and all beings in the three realms, to fulfill wishes in accordance with the Dharma. May it be virtuous! The youthfulness of the Gesar flower, with blooming petals and full stamens. On the seat of white light, subdued by the full moon, the manifestation of bliss-emptiness mudra, remaining unmoving. Only Lord Guru Vajrasattva, please be mindful! Abu Shri, burdened with bad karma, listen, you who are distracted. Do you remember being deceived by past delusions? Do you understand? Now, regarding delusion, one must be cautious. Don't waste your empty life, turn your mind inward. Now abandon many unnecessary thoughts. The heavy burden of self-pity, with hundreds of thoughts that can never be accomplished. The fleeting ripples of distraction, doing and doing without end. Don't deceive yourself, remain silent. Hearing hundreds of things, gaining nothing, what is the use of hearing? Having heard, not remembering when needed, thinking is of no benefit. If it doesn't become an antidote to afflictions, abandon meditation. Even though the number of recitations and the duration of retreats have been completed, the generation stage has not been familiarized. Even if the letter A is clear, and the deity's form is clear, dualistic clinging has not ceased. Although seemingly subduing ghosts and demons, one has not tamed one's own mind. Abandon the well-arranged and perfect four sessions of practice. Seemingly clear when high, but without generating a sense of ease. Seemingly abiding when low, but without manifesting clarity. Seemingly firmly establishing wisdom, but it's a spear pointing in the wrong direction. Abandon the view of holding the mind, as firm as a stake. Words are sweet and pleasant, but of no benefit to the mind. Reasoning seems sharp, but it's the root of delusion. Instructions seem profound, but are not put into practice. Abandon the examples that cause mental distraction and eye disease. Beating the small drum, but only for the sake of pleasant sounds. Saying "taking flesh and blood," but not abandoning cherished clinging. Striking the cymbals, but without a clear aim. Abandon the seemingly beautiful, but false decorations. Seemingly learning now, but not persevering to the end. Seemingly understanding today, but gradually leaving no trace. Having learned many things, but not turning the mind inward. Abandon those students who are pretentious and self-important. Seemingly cherished this year, but gone next year. Appearing humble on the surface, but actually arrogant. If cared for with affection, they will become more distant. Those who are fickle, with smiles hiding daggers.
