Oh! I have relied on many authentic lamas, and have extensively studied and contemplated the tenets of all non-sectarian schools. If the key points are extracted as the essence, it is one word. Do not just leave this word in books, put it into practice. Although there are many who say "oral instruction, oral instruction," they roll up the copied paper and store it away. If they do not even look at what the meaning is, then writing meaningless words only increases fatigue. Do not do such things, may you live long. Please put that meaning into practice, may you live long. May that result manifest in this life and the next, may you live long. There is no better oral instruction than that, may you live long. May you live long, Kunsang Chögyal. I am a wandering beggar who does not engage in worldly affairs. If you see me as a lama, then that is the oral instruction. If you see me as a friend, then that is the heart's words. Advice to Kunsang Chögyal at Gyalpak Monastery, may it be virtuous! May it be virtuous! Advice to Lhündrup Dorje. May the wisdom mind of great bliss, the one taste, in the hearts of all Buddhas and sentient beings, may that be the lineage lord of me and you as well, until enlightenment. The nine kinds of evil deeds, in a reckless and unrestrained manner, have already caused those who know the inside story to be disgusted. However, Lhündrup Dorje, who came from an unfamiliar place, regarded me as a good person and respected me, this ragged old man. By guessing the outer appearance of being immature but pretending to be mature, wanting to receive the Dharma like the taste of a mango, please strive for the place of acceptance and rejection. He earnestly instructed me in this way, and also gave me paper for writing. Even the lowly should listen to the oral instructions of the holy, but who would believe the words of the base? However, just as musk is taken from the corpse of a deer, all good words should be accepted. Many holy beings have taken me with compassion, and through the power of having slightly studied the treatises of the wise, speaking eloquent words like a parrot reciting without practice, like a bird in the heavenly realm. Therefore, generating courage, composing well from the place of hearing, thinking, and meditating, please listen to me a little here, and if it is worth accepting, do like a bee collecting honey. Ah! Hearing is a precious lamp, illuminating the path of liberation, distinguishing between the path and the non-path. Because it can understand acceptance and rejection, it is like an eye, so all those who have entered the path should rely on it. Even the great bodhisattvas who have attained the sixth ground, for one verse

The Samaya Fire said: From where do you receive and seek to hear the Dharma? Abandoning this place, where is the good path? In the supreme path of the assembly of conditions for liberation, only hearing the Dharma can liberate one's own mindstream, because the wisdom of meditation is difficult to arise all at once. Therefore, among the three wisdoms, hearing the Dharma is praised first. A person devoid of hearing, even if he boasts of combining thought and meditation, because he does not know whether it is the path or not, he goes astray and falls into a precipice. Like throwing stones in the dark, he deceives himself in vain. The act of hearing the Dharma,
