以及，极度愚痴，恐惧，害怕，变得疑虑重重，心怀恶意，言语不稳，吝啬，嫉妒，不确定，无耻，不知羞，智慧浅薄，不认识善良的法。 转生五百世为夜叉，转生五百世为狗，最终转生成为无尽的疯子。这是饮酒的过患，是因醉酒而饮酒的异熟果报。如是说。 《本生经》中也说：如果依止了会导致恶劣行为，极度恐怖的众生会堕入地狱，转生为畜生和贫穷的饿鬼，谁希望看到这些或者谁会这样做呢？即使少量饮酒，其异熟果报是：即使转生为人，也会失去戒律和见解。无论如何洗涤，都会被无间地狱的火焰焚烧，会转生到饿鬼道和低劣的畜生道。戒律会衰退，恶名会显现，变得无耻，智慧变得污浊。如是说。 第二，关于酿酒和劝酒者的过患：从《念住经》中广泛阐述的内容中总结来说，如果在僧团中分发酒，死后会在地狱中感受痛苦，例如：口中被灌入熔化的沸腾铜汁，从嘴唇、上颚、舌头等处到胃和肠道都被烧毁，然后从下半身流出。 像这样，饮酒者发出惨叫和哀嚎时，阎罗卒会用偈颂说道：造作罪业之人，要知道其果报是痛苦的。愚昧之人不认识自己，之后会被其彻底折磨。等等，用许多偈颂反复教诫和责骂，施加各种各样的伤害。例如，在同一部经中说：燃烧的山王，到处燃烧且坚硬的两座山猛烈地奔跑，那些地狱众生会进入相互撞击的两座山之间。例如，那两座山碾磨的方式就像看不到一样，被极度地碾磨。还会再次出现，出现后又会回到那两座山的中央。

And, extreme ignorance, fear, becoming fearful, becoming suspicious, being malicious, unstable in speech, stingy, jealous, uncertain, shameless, without embarrassment, having little wisdom, and not recognizing virtuous dharmas. For five hundred lifetimes, one will be born as a yaksha. For five hundred lifetimes, one will be born as a dog, and ultimately, one will be born as an endless madman. This is the fault of drinking alcohol, the ripening result of drinking alcohol that causes intoxication. Thus it is said. Also in the Jataka tales, it is said: Whoever relies on what leads to bad conduct, extremely terrifying beings will fall into hell, be reborn as animals and impoverished pretas. Who would want to see these or who would do that? Even if one drinks a small amount of alcohol, its ripening result is: even if one is born as a human, one will lose discipline and view. No matter how much one washes, one will be burned by the flames of Avici hell, and one will be reborn in the preta realm and the lower animal realms. Discipline will decline, bad reputation will manifest, one will become shameless, and wisdom will become defiled. Thus it is said. Secondly, regarding the faults of brewing and serving alcohol: Summarizing from the extensively explained content in the Mindfulness Sutra, if one distributes alcohol in the Sangha, after death, one will experience suffering in hell, such as: molten boiling copper is poured into the mouth, burning from the lips, palate, tongue, etc., to the stomach and intestines, and then flowing out from the lower body. Like this, when the drinker cries out and wails, the Yama's messengers will say in verses: Those who commit sinful deeds, know that their result is painful. The foolish one does not know himself, and afterwards he will be completely tormented by it. Etc., with many verses repeatedly admonishing and scolding, inflicting various kinds of harm. For example, in the same sutra it says: The burning Mount Meru, burning everywhere, and two hard mountains run violently, those hell beings enter between the two mountains that collide with each other. For example, the way those two mountains grind is so extremely grinding that it cannot be seen. It will also appear again, and after appearing, it will return to the center of those two mountains.

Those beings who escape from the hell realms, desiring refuge, protection, support, and assistance, flee elsewhere. They encounter the servants of Yama, who place them headfirst into iron pots. As long as their sinful deeds are not destroyed, abandoned, and exhausted, they will be burned there for millions of years. Escaping from there, they are seized by fiercely burning iron beaks, which tear them into hundreds or thousands of pieces at their limbs, joints, and bones. Escaping from there, those tormented by hunger and thirst see a clear lake from afar and run towards it. However, it is filled with boiling pus and gore. When they enter to bathe, they are seized by crocodiles created by karma, dragged headfirst into the water, and boiled in the pus and gore until their sinful deeds are exhausted. Escaping from there, they are seized by the servants of Yama, who pierce them with fiercely burning spear tips. These spear tips sometimes emerge from their backs, sometimes from their ribs, and sometimes from their throats. The sounds of suffering from the hell beings are heard by other hell beings from that direction as if they were songs. Although it is the sound of smoke, due to the power of karma, they hear it as pleasant and go there. They see villages, houses, rivers, and abundant pools. They run towards those places, and when they enter the villages, the doors of the houses close.
