For all the miserable ones tormented by suffering, may it become whatever each one desires: refuge for the refuge-less, protector for the protector-less, support for the support-less, friend for the friend-less, government for the government-less, healing medicine for the sick, nectar that revives the dead, miraculous feet for the lame, eyes of wisdom for the blind, ears free from defilements for the deaf, tongue of wisdom for the mute, and so forth, satisfying and fulfilling all through enjoyment. Separated from all the karmic appearances, suffering, and habitual tendencies of the six realms, may all males attain the state of noble Avalokiteśvara, and all females attain the state of venerable noble Tārā. May we contemplate uprooting saṃsāra of the three realms from its very foundation. This is the variegated offering for the feast to the dead. Until the aim is achieved, recite only Oṃ(藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡), Āḥ(藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आ,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:阿), Hūṃ(藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽). Then, Phaṭ(藏文:ཕཊཿ,梵文天城体:फट,梵文罗马拟音:phaṭ,汉语字面意思:啪)! Offering upwards to the guests of the offering place, etc., recite "The nature is the great perfection, uncreated, Āḥ(藏文:ཨཿ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:aḥ,汉语字面意思:阿)," and place all, including the object of offering, the one who offers, and the place of offering, equally in a state of non-objectification. Generally, in all Chöd texts, four great offerings are explained: white offering, red offering, variegated offering, and black offering. However, here there are only white and variegated offerings; there are no red or black offerings. In general, in this present time, those who boast of being practitioners of Chöd consider the so-called "Chöd" to be a violent action of killing, cutting, chopping, beating, expelling, and annihilating evil spirits. Therefore, they think that the so-called "Chöd" must always, at all times and in all circumstances, be angry, agitated, and threatening, generating courage solely through hatred and pride, and must be like a messenger of Yama. Even when performing Chöd for the sick, they generate fierce courage of anger, agitation, and threat, glaring with hateful eyes as large as bowls, punching and kicking while cursing, beating and slapping, even tearing off the tattered clothes worn on the patient's back. They boast that they are subduing spirits in this way, but such a religious practice is mistaken. As Machik Labdrön said: "From beginningless time, the cause of negative karma has been created, driven by the wind of negative circumstances, revolving solely in illusion and suffering. Immediately after death, one falls into the lower realms, becoming helpless and malicious spirits.

I seize them with the iron hook of compassion, giving my own warm flesh and blood as food, transforming appearances with loving-kindness, compassion, and bodhicitta, and gathering them into my retinue. However, those great Chöd practitioners of the future will presumptuously kill, expel, and beat those unruly spirits, the wealth that I have seized with the iron hook of compassion. This is said to be a sign of the flourishing of perverse Chöd, the teachings of demons. Similarly, all the occurrences of perverse Chöd, such as the Chöd of the Nine Black Sons, are because they are devoid of loving-kindness, compassion, and bodhicitta, and merely presumptuously subdue spirits with force. Although it may seem that they can subdue one or two tiny, weak spirits, if they encounter fierce and violent spirits, they will be attacked and their lives threatened. There are many such examples that have become obvious. In particular, for someone who practices pure Dharma, it is difficult to know whether the arising of blessings such as subduing spirits is a quality of the path or an obstacle of demons, because most of those whose minds are disturbed by unruly spirits offer clairvoyance.

to practice. If it is impossible to hold, then place it on the front platform, etc. While arranging the mandala, count. During tea breaks, etc., at all intervals, gather the previously arranged offerings. Arrange thirty-seven heaps of mandala as before and count, etc. In this way, it is necessary to complete one hundred thousand mandalas. Sometimes, those who cannot extensively offer the three kayas mandala can sprinkle fragrant water on the ground, etc., and offer only seven heaps of mandala. In any case, it is important that the preliminary practice of generating bodhicitta is complete, the main practice of non-objectification in the middle, and the final dedication is vast and complete. This is the same for all situations. When offering the mandala in this way, when offering grain mandalas such as barley and wheat, if you are wealthy, never use old offering grains for the mandala, only use new ones. After offering in this way, give them to birds and blind beggars, etc., or pile them in front of statues, etc., do whatever is appropriate, but do not take possession of them for your own enjoyment. and abilities seem to exist, but ultimately they will increasingly contradict the true Dharma, and eventually there will be no good intentions even as small as a sesame seed. Even if oppressed by the burden of debts of material retribution as heavy as a mountain, the gains will not help even this life, and eventually they will not even get food and clothing to maintain their livelihood, or they will become mad and die. Those people will certainly be reborn in temporary hells, etc., as mentioned before. Therefore, the gods and demons to be subdued by Chöd are not outside, but inside. All external illusions appearing as the forms of gods and demons arise from the root of inner self-grasping and arrogance. As Machig Labdrön said: Obstructed demons and unobstructed demons, joyful demons and arrogant demons, ultimately all come down to arrogant demons. Therefore, the so-called ghost is the demon of self-grasping arrogance. In addition, many ghosts refer to conceptual thoughts, fierce ghosts refer to self-grasping, and evil ghosts refer to discriminating thoughts. If these ghosts are cut off
