The correct meditation of the middling faculty is like this. Without the three of what is meditated upon, who meditates, and experience, and without fixating on anything, this is the correct meditation of the superior faculty. Guarding cause and effect like the apple of one's eye is the correct conduct of the inferior faculty. Conducting all phenomena in the manner of dreams and illusions is the correct conduct of the middling faculty. Not conducting in any way whatsoever is the correct conduct of the superior faculty. Self-grasping, afflictions, and conceptual thoughts becoming smaller and smaller is the correct sign of warmth for all three, superior, middling, and inferior faculties. Thus it is said. In the peerless Dagpo Rinpoche's supreme path, it is also said similarly. Therefore, when listening to the Dharma, one must know how to extract the essential points. The Great Omniscient One said: What is to be known is like the stars in the sky. There is no end to what needs to be learned. Now, it is best to seize the unchangeable, firm ground of the essence of the Dharmakaya. When contemplating, one must cut off additions and subtractions. The Indian Holy Buddha said: Seeking the guru's instructions should be like crows seeking food. Listening to the Dharma should be like wild animals listening to sounds. Meditating should be like a mute person tasting flavors. Contemplating should be like a deaf person shearing sheep. The result should be like the sun and moon being freed from the clouds. Therefore, for the Dharma, hearing, thinking, and meditating must be inseparable. The peerless Dagpo Rinpoche said: Mixing hearing, thinking, and meditating together is the key to not being mistaken. Thus, the fruit of having practiced hearing, thinking, and meditating is that loving-kindness, compassion, and the mind of enlightenment increase more and more, and self-grasping and afflictions become smaller and smaller, which is definitely necessary. Therefore, this instruction on generating the mind of enlightenment is the essence of all Dharmas, the heart of all paths. If it is present, it is definitely sufficient, and if it is absent, it is definitely a deficient Dharma. Therefore, it is important not to leave it as mere talk and hearing, but to practice it from the depths of one's heart. One boasts of generating the supreme mind, but it is not generated. Although one learns the path of the six perfections, one is still attached to one's own desires. May I and all sentient beings of small intellect, similar to myself, be blessed to master the supreme mind of enlightenment! Of all the paths

This is the instruction on generating the supreme Bodhicitta, the root of the Great Vehicle. Although free from the stains of the two obscurations, it shows the method of purification; Although the supreme path is definitely perfect, it shows the method of learning; Although it transcends the limits of samsara and nirvana, it appears in samsara; I prostrate to the feet of the incomparable Lama. The practice and recitation of Vajrasattva. The third, purifying obscurations, is the practice and recitation of the Lama Vajrasattva. The manner of listening to the Dharma is the same as before. Regarding the Dharma to be listened to, the main obstacle to the arising of special experiences and realizations on the profound path is sinful obscurations and habitual patterns. It is important to purify obscurations in order for the image of realization to appear in the mirror of the alaya. For example, it is important to clean a mirror in order for an image to appear in it. Therefore, the Victorious Ones have taught countless methods of purifying obscurations, but the most supreme of all is the practice and recitation of the Lama Vajrasattva. In general, there is no sinful action that cannot be purified by confession. The noble ones of the past have said, "In general, sin has no qualities, but the ability to be purified by confession is a quality of sin." Therefore, whether it is violating the vows of individual liberation, violating the precepts of the Bodhicitta, or breaking the samayas of secret mantra, no matter how serious the sinful action, it can be purified by confession. For example, the Brahmin boy Mitraghna or Angulimala killed nine hundred and ninety-nine people, but he was purified by confession and attained the state of an Arhat in that lifetime. King Ajatashatru killed his own father, but he was later purified by confession and experienced only the slightest suffering in hell, like being brushed with silk, and was liberated. Many such examples are taught in the sutras by the perfect Buddhas. Therefore, the Protector Nagarjuna also said, "Whoever was previously careless, but later becomes mindful, is as beautiful as the moon free from clouds, like Nanda, Angulimala, Sthuladana, and Nandabala." Therefore, if one confesses well from the bottom of one's heart through the door of possessing the four powers, one can be purified. However, if one is naturally distracted, with eyes wandering, mind following other thoughts, and only reciting the words of confession from the mouth, such as "I confess," and later
