Beyond that, there is no separate aspiration. When the self-defect of afflictions is realized, there is no separate wisdom. Thus it is said. Also, Khu, Ngok, and Drom asked Jowo (Atisha): Which is the most excellent of all the Dharma of the path? Jowo replied: The most excellent of the wise is the realization of the meaning of selflessness; the most excellent of the monks is the taming of one's mind; the most excellent of the qualities is having a great altruistic mind; the most excellent of the instructions is to always look at one's own mind; the most excellent of the antidotes is to know that nothing has inherent existence; the most excellent of the conduct is to be different from the world; the most excellent of the accomplishments is that afflictions become less and less; the most excellent of the signs of accomplishment is that desires become less and less; the most excellent of the giving is non-attachment; the most excellent of the discipline is a peaceful mind; the most excellent of the patience is to take a lower position; the most excellent of the diligence is to abandon worldly affairs; the most excellent of the meditation is an unfabricated mind; the most excellent of the wisdom is to have no clinging to anything. Thus and so on. Also, Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa said: Contentment abides in the perfection of giving, its essence is the mind of renunciation. If you are ashamed before the Three Jewels, you have discipline. Unimpaired mindfulness and awareness is the best of patience. Diligence is needed as a friend to all. Meditating on appearances and attachments as deities is meditation. Clinging and attachment are self-liberated, that is wisdom. In that, there is no thought and no thinker, it is not ordinary, it is free from certainty, peaceful nirvana is supreme. This should not be spoken to everyone, keep it secret in your heart. Thus, all the vast paths of the bodhisattvas, such as the six perfections, if condensed into a single essence, are all gathered into the essence of emptiness and compassion. As it is said in the Doha of the glorious Saraha: Seeing emptiness without compassion, one does not find the supreme path. If one only meditates on compassion, how can one be liberated from samsara? Whoever has both, does not abide in existence, nor does he abide in non-existence. Thus it is said. Not abiding in existence and not abiding in non-existence is the state of complete and perfect enlightenment, not abiding in nirvana. Similarly, the protector Nagarjuna also said: Emptiness and compassion are the heart, the only path to achieve enlightenment. Thus it is said. Jowo
