Since this is the boundary between good and bad, if you do not secure a firm position in this life, it will be difficult to find such leisure again in the future. If you are born into a state like the lower realms, there will be no opportunity to encounter the Dharma. Being ignorant of what to abandon and what to adopt, you will fall into the endless lower realms. Therefore, thinking that you must strive now, you should repeatedly meditate and practice through the three excellences of preliminary practices, bodhicitta, main practice, absence of focus, and concluding dedication. The standard of what arises in the mind after practicing in this way should be like that of Geshe Chenga. He never slept and only did virtuous deeds. Geshe Tonpa said, 'Child, you are a little tired, there is a danger of fainting.' He said, 'I am tired because of this, when I think about how difficult it is to find leisure, I don't have time to feel tired.' He recited nine hundred million mantras of Akshobhya, and never slept in his life. Therefore, you should meditate until it truly arises in your mind. Although you have obtained leisure, you are poor in essential Dharma. Although you have entered the Dharma gate, you are distracted by non-Dharma activities. May I and all ignorant beings like me be blessed to obtain the essence of leisure. This is the teaching on the difficulty of finding leisure. Homage! See the three realms as impermanent and illusory, abandon the affairs of this life like spitting out phlegm, follow in the footsteps of the predecessors through diligent practice, I pay homage to the incomparable Guru. Impermanence of Life. Second, regarding the teaching on the impermanence of life. The rules for listening to the Dharma are the same as in the section on the difficulty of finding leisure. Regarding the Dharma to be taught, contemplate impermanence by thinking about the external vessel-world; contemplate impermanence by thinking about the internal sentient beings; contemplate impermanence by thinking about the noble beings; contemplate impermanence by thinking about the lord of beings; contemplate impermanence by thinking about various examples and meanings; contemplate impermanence by thinking about the uncertain factors of death; contemplate impermanence by thinking about strong aspirations, there are seven in total. First, contemplate impermanence by thinking about the external vessel-world: Like this, the external vessel-world formed from common merit, including the four continents, Mount Meru, and the heavenly realms, its outer perimeter is solid and

These things that exist until the complete eon are also impermanent, and will eventually be destroyed by seven fires and one water. That is, when the time comes for this great eon to be destroyed, the inner beings will gradually become empty from the bottom up, and even in the first dhyana heaven, not a single sentient being will exist. Then gradually, seven suns will appear in the sky. One sun will burn all the plants and forests. When the second sun appears, it will dry up all the rivers and streams. The third will dry up all the great rivers. The fourth will dry up the great lakes, including Lake Anavatapta. The fifth will start from the outer ocean, first drying up a hundred yojanas of depth, then gradually two hundred, seven hundred, one thousand, ten thousand, until eighty thousand yojanas, the remaining water from the distance of a yojana and a shout, and finally not even the water in the hoofprints will be dried up. When the sixth sun appears, it will burn the great earth, including the snow mountains. The seventh sun will burn Mount Meru, the king of mountains, the four continents, the eight subcontinents, the seven golden mountains, and the surrounding iron mountains, turning them into a single flame. It swirls downwards and burns, burning all the hells. The flames rise upwards and also burn the empty Brahma palaces. The bright young gods are frightened and proclaim: 'Such a huge fire is burning and appearing!' The old gods will comfort them, saying, 'This has happened before in the Brahma world and then recovered, so don't be afraid.' Thus, after the fire destroys seven times, clouds with the essence of cloud water will form in the second dhyana heaven, from which rain as thick as a yoke and an arrow shaft will fall, destroying the heaven of the bright gods as if they were soaked in salt water. After the water destroys seven times completely, the underlying wind vajra cross rises upwards, destroying the places below the third dhyana heaven like dust scattered by the wind. Thus, the hundred million trillion things, including the four continents, Mount Meru, and the heavens, contained within one world, are all destroyed simultaneously, and finally everything becomes a single void, and such a state of emptiness exists. What, then, is our own human body?
