The belief that things exist inherently, and the belief that things exist by imputation, these four are the dualistic thoughts of grasper and grasped. The commentary says that the nature of the four refuting thoughts that realize in the manner of general meaning is genuine. Some also believe that these four establishing thoughts are cognitive obscurations. If so, then the establishing thought of inherent existence is that the five aggregates, which are the basis of imputation for a person, are believed to exist inherently as phenomena. In short, it is said that all dualistic thoughts of grasper and grasped are cognitive obscurations. Second, the unique ones. Each of the ten grounds has two fields of ignorance and one bad rebirth, totaling three each. Second, the afflictive obscurations are eliminated through the wrong views abandoned by seeing and the path abandoned by meditation. The first part has two aspects: how to enter into wrong views and listing the tenets of the schools. First, what enters? Mainly the twenty aggregates of existence, namely: the three extreme views of annihilationism, eternalism, and existence, and the five views of self-view, extreme view, wrong view, holding views as supreme, and holding ethics and vows as supreme, and the five non-views of desire, anger, pride, ignorance, and doubt. What does it enter into? The four noble truths. How does it enter? Through three ways of direct, indirect, and power, it enters into wrong views. The first is: the three extreme views of annihilationism, eternalism, and existence, and the two non-views of ignorance and doubt, these five directly have wrong views about the truth. The second is that self-view considers itself to be the best. Holding ethics and vows as supreme sees the bad conduct related to that bad view as pure, liberating, and definite. Desire clings to bad views. The four of pride, etc., indirectly enter into wrong views because they aim at the bad views that directly enter into wrong views. The third is anger, because it is forced to enter into wrong views by being unable to tolerate views that do not agree with its own bad views. A person with bad views thinks that he is the best, so his mind is arrogant. Second, there are three tenets of listing the schools. The first is, as stated in the Compendium, in the seeing abandonment of the truth of suffering, the desire realm has ten aggregates of existence. In the two higher realms, because anger is abandoned, the remaining nine, totaling twenty-eight. The other three truths also have twenty-eight each, totaling one hundred and twelve. Second, as stated in the Definitive Compendium, the truth of suffering has twenty-eight as before. In the truths of origin and cessation, because annihilationism and anger in the two higher realms are abandoned, the remaining ones are added up to nine.

Detailed explanation completed. Third, according to the Abhidharmakosha's view, the truth of suffering remains the previous twenty-eight, and in the two of the peak of existence and the formless realm, eliminating the two of the peak of existence, as well as the three of the highest and final clinging, on the path eliminating the two of the peak of existence, in the upper two realms, along with anger, the remaining eighty-eight. If these are summarized, they are all contained in the three pervasive ones. The three wrong views of the peak of existence. In short, since obtaining the path of seeing, because from the depths of the heart one has obtained a definite understanding of refuge in the Three Jewels and the four Dharma seals, no matter where one is born, the mind cannot be transformed by wrong views, because the root of wrong clinging has been cut off. Second, regarding what is to be abandoned by meditation, there are the divisions of what is to be abandoned and how to abandon it. First, the basis of division is: ignorance, desire, pride, anger, the view of the perishable aggregate, and the view of clinging to extremes, these six. How to abandon them? If divided from the perspective of the divisions of the path, there are sixteen. In the desire realm there are these six, and in the upper two realms, eliminating anger, the remaining five, totaling sixteen. From the perspective of commentary, the support of what is to be abandoned is nine. If divided, there are forty-six, and if divided from the perspective of large and small, there are four hundred and fourteen. Second, regarding abandonment, there are the object to be abandoned, the method of abandonment, and the manner of abandonment, these three, the Great and Small Vehicles have different views. Among them, first, regarding the object to be abandoned, there are two. That is to say, the manifest is that even if it is abandoned through the path of joining of this path, and abandoned through the overpowering antidote, it will still arise again, therefore it cannot be considered abandonment. Seed, place, and bad karma, these three have the same meaning, only different names, they all arise from there. The second is, through the wisdom of uniting calm and insight, realizing selflessness. The third is, simultaneous abandonment, believing that all the gross and subtle obscurations of the three realms are gathered together and abandoned. How to abandon them? The largest forty-six of the three realms' afflictive obscurations are abandoned through the smallest of the path of meditation, which is the second ground, the stainless ground. Similarly, combining according to the order, until the smallest obscuration is abandoned by the largest of the path of meditation, this is analogy. The tenth is the cloud of Dharma. These, from each one, are the path of joining. After the path of seeing, strive to become the footprint of the steps, because its obscuration is weakened, so it is the overpowering antidote. This is the uninterrupted path, the obscuration of the abandonment and antidote fighting, and the lotus cut off in groups, this is the antidote of application. The path of liberation, after separating from the obscuration of reason.
