For example, through a single letter "A," one can understand the unimpeded dependent origination of all phenomena of samsara and nirvana, thereby realizing the inexpressible meaning. The dharani of mantras, for example, mantras that accomplish all benefits and harms, through the blessing of samadhi, will generate inconceivable power. The two dharanis of words and meanings refer to the ability to remember words and meanings without error. Their essence is memory, wisdom, and samadhi, these three. The seventh is exhaustion, whose essence is samadhi and special wisdom. In terms of classification, it is the manifestation of samadhi by exhausting the four elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, as well as the four colors of blue, yellow, white, and red. Similarly, one can manifest the samadhi of space and infinite consciousness. The methods of meditating on these are like an earthen bridge over water, raining water from the sky, igniting firewood, meditating on the tactile sensation of wind, relying on a circular object of four colors, relying on the space of apertures, and the appearance of sunspots elsewhere, and so on. The signs of accomplishment are that they rise upwards, etc. The eighth is subjugation, which is divided by shape and color, making eight in total. The first is shape: one conceives of form internally and thereby subjugates and knows all large external forms. Śamatha. Subjugating and seeing, thus conceiving. This is pride. Again, one meditates similarly on small external forms, conceiving of no internal form, and then meditating on large and small external forms as before; this is vipaśyanā. There are also four where one conceives of no internal form and then, as before, subjugates and knows the four external colors of blue, yellow, white, and red. The ninth is great compassion: with great compassion, one observes all sentient beings three times during the day and three times during the night, who declines, who prospers, etc., without properly giving help. The tenth is without affliction, which is the samadhi without affliction. For this, the Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas first examine the act of begging for alms, etc. If, by relying on me, they become afflicted, then avoid it. The Buddha is like taming an elephant guarding wealth. Generating afflictions.

Without abandoning the place of sentient beings, definitely going there, destroying all the afflictions in their continuum, not going to other directions, is the intervener. Eleventh is the knowledge of aspirations: it is the knowledge of the place of aspirations of the Shravakas. Wanting to understand this place, like entering into extreme samadhi and knowing, like Maudgalyayana speaking of the royal lineage. The perfect Buddha is spontaneously accomplished without effort, without attachment, without obstruction, the time is constant until samsara is empty, naturally without intention, the countless different questions raised by sentient beings, able to answer all questions at once, possessing five characteristics is the knowledge of aspirations. Twelfth is the ten powers: the three of having power over life, mind, and resources are the result of generosity, having power over karma and birth is the result of morality, having power over intention is the result of patience, having power over aspirations is to fulfill all aspirations by having power over the place, it is the result of diligence, having power over miraculous powers is the result of meditation, having power over wisdom and dharma is the result of wisdom. Thirteenth is the Dharma of the above, fourteenth is the four immeasurables, not clearly stated here. Fifteenth is the eight liberations: liberation from form is to perceive form internally, liberation from non-form is to perceive no form internally, and contemplating the impure aspect, there are three in total. As stated in the Abhidharmakosha, it is also considered that one should contemplate impurity. Furthermore, liberation refers to liberation from the obscurations of one's own ground in the formless and cessation states. Sixteenth is the nine successive abidings, which are abiding in succession. The so-called nine samapattis refer to the balance of the body's elements, and the balance of all mind and mental factors. Among them, except for the eight dhyanas, the cessation only slightly enters, not truly entering. Cessation is the cessation of consciousness and feeling, that is, the seven consciousnesses except for the Alaya consciousness are blocked. Seventeenth is that there is nothing hidden in the activities of body, speech, and mind, it is eternal protection, that is, the three unprotected. Eighteenth is the three mindfulnesses: retinue listening respectfully, and listening without faith.

Two, Equanimity: Without attachment and hatred, without attachment and hatred, this is the third. Nineteen, the Dharma nature of non-forgetfulness: without forgetting. Twenty, four kinds of purity: The purity of the basis is the complete purity of giving and receiving the body, etc.; the purity of the object is the complete purity of manifestation and transformation; the purity of mind is inconceivable samadhi; the purity of wisdom is knowing that all knowable things are pure. Twenty-one, completely eliminating the habitual tendencies of afflictions. Three kinds of wisdom: The wisdom of the basis is knowing all aggregates, elements, and sources, etc.; the wisdom of the path is knowing all paths of hearers, solitary realizers, and bodhisattvas; omniscience is knowing all aspects completely realized. Among such qualities, sixty-four are uncommon, and the rest are common. Thus, the qualities are divided into twenty-one categories, and if subdivided, there are one hundred and forty-four kinds, plus the five eyes mentioned in this treatise, which are summarized as one hundred and forty-nine kinds. Good! This establishment of ground, path, and fruit is what was recorded in the notes of Khyentse Tulku when Dharma King Paltrul Rinpoche taught "The Treasury of Qualities." A detailed explanation of how to progress through the five paths in order and how to obtain the qualities of the ten bhumis.
