With mindfulness, one prevents the mind from wandering elsewhere. With equanimity, one makes the mind abide calmly without sinking or agitation. Focusing on suffering, one seeks and dwells in its solitude. Focusing on the origin (of suffering), one seeks and dwells in its detachment from desire. Focusing on the cessation of suffering, one seeks and actualizes it. Focusing on the path leading to the cessation of suffering, one seeks its cultivation; the same applies to the remaining six branches. Thirdly, if one summarizes the seven, such as mindfulness, there are five branches. As stated in the Madhyāntavibhāga: the nature branch to the branch. The third is the renunciation branch, the fourth is the benefit branch. The fifth is the branch without the three defilements. Regarding this, the basis, place, and nature are equanimity, which is the nature of discriminating dharma, not being distracted by other branches. Diligence makes one go far beyond the ordinary ground. Beneficial and joyful to body and mind. Thus it is taught. The four pliabilities and samādhi abandon what is to be abandoned by the path of seeing. Fifth, the non-conceptual wisdom of the path of seeing is enlightenment, and others become its branches, hence it is a branch of enlightenment. Fourth, the meaning of the word is: because one newly sees the wisdom that was not seen before, it is the path of seeing. The term "newly seeing" is just a name, but in reality, there is no seeing, like saying "seeing the sky." If there is birth, there is also destruction. The fifth is the first ground, the Joyful Ground. Fourth, the path of cultivation has: support, nature, division, meaning of the word, ground, and five. In the first, the physical support is: humans of the three continents and the six types of desire realm gods, and in the form realm, except for the Great Brahma and the Non-Conceptual Realm. And the remaining three formless realms except for the Peak of Existence. The mental support is: the six dhyāna grounds and the three formless realms, that is, the nine grounds. As a stainless support, only this is the nature of wrong view. The wisdom of the previous path of seeing, because of worldly thought, is the nine grounds. Meditating on birth based on form is said to be the nature of the path of cultivation. The second is: the wisdom that directly realizes the meaning of the four truths. The third has nine: worldly path, transcendent path, small, medium, and large three, application, immediate, liberation path, and superior path. The first two, by what is attained

The cause of. The nature of what is to be obtained. The sign of obtaining it in that way. From the person of the obtainer and the four. In the first, contemplate the seven mental activities of abandonment. The determination of its number is: characteristic, faith, and analysis, the three are the cause. Solitude, joy, and the end of union, the three are the nature. The fruit of union is the fruit of mental activity. Furthermore, the first two cause the unborn to arise, and the fifth makes the born special, which is its cause. The individual identifications are: That is, the tranquility and roughness of abandonment and attainment in the upper and lower realms, through the combination of hearing, thinking, and meditation, thoroughly knowing the characteristics of these is the first mental activity. Striving for such tranquility and roughness for a long time, cultivating faith, surpassing hearing, thinking, and meditation, becoming tranquility and insight, is the second. By meditating on this for a long time, abandoning the three great afflictions of the desire realm is the third path. Gathering joy is abandoning the three medium afflictions of the desire realm, which is the fourth. Again, remembering the aspect of suffering, if desire arises, meditating on the tranquility and roughness of the remaining part to be abandoned is the fifth. By meditating in this way, abandoning the three small afflictions of the desire realm is the sixth. By this power, possessing the actual basis of the first dhyana, the arising of mental activity is the seventh mental activity. The second is the mundane and generally the mundane and supramundane. The boundary of the earth, the ground of equipoise and subsequent attainment, and whether the eight form absorptions are grasped by wisdom or not, there are three, here according to the latter. Annotation of the pure mundane. The supramundane, and the explanation of the classification of these, there are three. In the first, with the afflicted and the pure, the first is: What is the basis for being afflicted, is the purity of the actual basis of the form absorption. By what afflicting dharma, is obscured and unspecified. Desire, view, pride, and ignorance, the four. How to afflict, becoming associated with that and that. The second is the faultless dhyana that is free from the entanglements of one's own ground. This has decline, abiding, distinction, and four that are in accordance with this distinction. The second is that the nine form absorptions are grasped by the wisdom that realizes selflessness. The third has two, the explanation of the limbs of dhyana, and the explanation of the object and aspect of the formless. The first has four, that is, in the first dhyana, there is also the actual basis possessing both investigation and analysis, and only investigation,
