From the beginning of no new birth, up to the point where desire realm gods and humans are born as gods of clear light, there are nineteen intermediate eons. Then, when the vessel world is destroyed, seven suns appear. The first burns all plants and forests. The second dries up all lotus ponds and rivers. The third dries up all great rivers. The fourth dries up the great Anavatapta lake. The fifth gradually dries up the ocean from a hundred yojanas, until not a single drop of water remains. The sixth burns the entire earth, including the snow mountains. The seventh burns the mountain islands down to the golden foundation. Like this, the flames blaze upwards, burning all the empty palaces of Brahma, and the flames swirl downwards, burning down to the foundation of the Avici hell. This is called the great eon of destruction by fire. Afterwards, everything is empty, becoming the nature of a single space, lasting for twenty intermediate eons. Then, again, the eons of formation and duration appear as before, and again the eons of destruction by fire. Thus, after seven great eons are destroyed by fire, one eon forms and abides, and is destroyed by water. At that time, in the heaven of the second dhyana, clouds filled with the essence of water gather and rain falls, destroying the three thousand worlds as if they were dissolving in salt water. Like this, between every seven destructions by fire, there is one destruction by water. After seven destructions by water, and forty-nine destructions by fire are completed, there is one destruction by wind. The wind mandala of the lower foundation stirs upwards, and everything below the third dhyana is destroyed as if dust were scattered by the wind. As it says in the Treasury of Knowledge: "Seven by fire, one by water, and finally destroyed by wind." In the third chapter, in the section on cause and effect, the first of the thirteen worldly dharmas: Pride in lineage, appearance, power, etc., which are the five prides: Lineage such as the royal and Brahmin castes. Appearance such as greatness and beauty. Hearing, which is knowing many systems of both worldly and Dharma matters. Youth in its prime. Power to rule over tribes, servants, etc., which are the five prides. Laziness is the sixth. The manifest arrogance of presuming to understand the meaning of Dharma nature without actually understanding it is the seventh. Attachment to demons who hate asceticism and glory.

Hatred two and nine. The craving of repeatedly experiencing the taste of food, wealth, and enjoyment that one possesses is ten. The attachment of generating greed for others' food, wealth, etc., is eleven. The hypocrisy of pretending to have qualities when one does not is twelve. The deception of concealing faults as if they do not exist is thirteen. The ten virtues are not separate from the steadfast mind that abandons the ten non-virtues such as killing, but in terms of their particularity: abandoning killing and protecting life; abandoning stealing and giving charity; abandoning sexual misconduct and guarding morality; abandoning lying and speaking truthfully; abandoning divisive speech and reconciling disputes; abandoning harsh speech and speaking gently; abandoning idle talk and diligently reciting; abandoning greed and cherishing generosity; abandoning harmful intent and cherishing beneficial intent; abandoning wrong views and abiding in correct views. In the fourth chapter, regarding the explanation of the Four Noble Truths, there are four aspects: essence, aspects, meaning, and order. First, the essence of each of the Four Noble Truths is: Suffering is all of samsara, both container and contents. Origin is the two, karma and afflictions. Karma is the virtuous and non-virtuous actions that propel one into samsara. Afflictions are the three poisons of attachment, aversion, and ignorance that incite those actions. Cessation is the aspect of abandoning suffering and origin through the power of the path, and the nature of what is abandoned, suchness and the two. Path, although some consider it to be only the two paths of seeing and cultivation, it is actually all five paths, only with a distinction of primary and secondary. Their sixteen aspects are: impermanent because they arise and cease in an instant; suffering because whatever is felt does not go beyond suffering; empty because things that are 'mine' have no owner; selfless because there is no basis for imputation of a person, these are the four aspects of suffering. Origin because all the sufferings of samsara arise; cause because it becomes the root of all suffering; intensely born because intense suffering arises immediately; condition that connects the experience of suffering, these are the four aspects of origin. Cessation because it stops the continuum of future suffering and origin; peaceful because all deluded afflictions are pacified.
