Commentary on the Jewel Treasury of Qualities - Sunlight Manifestation. Commentary on the Jewel Treasury of Qualities - Sunlight Manifestation. This concludes the treatise called Commentary on the Jewel Treasury of Qualities - Sunlight Manifestation. Namo Jñanasattvāya. Homage to the Wisdom Hero). Wisdom, the great source of wisdom. The wise one knows what exists and what does not. Two accumulations, the one who accumulates accumulations. Homage to Manjushri, the wisdom hero. In explaining the treatise "The Jewel Treasury of Qualities," which shows all dharmas as a single path, there are two parts: the explanation of the branches of explanation and the explanation of the subject matter itself. First, the explanation of the branches of explanation includes: how the teacher explains, how the student listens, and how the two engage in explanation and listening. First, how the teacher explains is divided into three: how the teacher Buddha explains the Dharma, how the teacher Arhat explains the Dharma, and how the teacher wise Pandit explains the Dharma. First, the teacher Buddha explains relying on three miracles: the miracle of the body's magical power, gathering disciples who have not yet gathered by radiating light from the white hair between the eyebrows, etc.; making the gathered disciples believe by covering the three thousand worlds with the power of the tongue, etc.; knowing all the intelligence and faculties of the gathered disciples through the miracle of the mind's omnipresence; and explaining the Dharma that should be tamed by each individual through the miracle of the speech that follows, with sixty branches of Brahma's voice that are in accordance with the language of each being. Second, the teacher Arhat explains relying on three purities: the purity of the listener's vessel, examining the disciple's mindstream through clairvoyance, and explaining the Dharma if the mindstream is suitable; the purity of the speaker's speech, speech that is free from the obscurations of afflictions such as attachment, explaining with immaculate words and pleasant sounds; the purity of the meaning of the scriptures, as spoken by one's own master, the perfect Buddha, etc., holding it with unfailing dharani, without adding or subtracting words, and without error in meaning.
