Seeing from the earth kasina means the four and eight color suppressions. The meaning of those is, establishing the perception of formlessness on one's own body, and also not destroying the perception of form on one's own body, through these two, without clinging to the beauty and ugliness, good and bad, etc. of external forms, observing them and transforming them from large and small etc. into others, thereby performing transformations, that is, knowing by suppressing through quiescence, and seeing by suppressing through insight. The meaning of perceiving inner form as existent and non-existent is the difference between the transformer appearing and not appearing to others when transforming. Or, perceiving as formless, if one has attained the formless samadhi, it is easy, but even if one has not, one must only establish the perception of formlessness. Perceiving as inner form, if one has not attained the formless samadhi, it is easy, but even if one has not, one does not manifest form, but only establishes the perception of form. Therefore, if one has attained the formless samadhi, one relies on any of the meditative forms, and if one has not attained the formless samadhi, one considers relying on the fourth dhyana to practice the suppressions. Absence of afflictions is: As it is said in the sutra, "The Shravakas have the view of no afflictions, the afflictions of humans are all abandoned, in cities etc. those afflictions, the Victorious One constantly cuts off afflictions." When Shravakas etc. go to towns etc., they examine with their own power whether or not attachment, aversion, etc. will arise towards others, and if they observe that they will arise, they do not go there. But the Fully Enlightened Buddhas, if they think in this way, then they deliberately go there, and tame them through teaching the Dharma and performing miracles, thereby making the method of cutting off afflictions from that person's continuum from then on. Knowing the place of aspiration is: Shravakas, even if they want to know what is in their minds, first think that they should know this and that, and then enter into the ultimate samadhi, and know by examining. The Buddhas are: As it is said in the sutra, "The Buddhas know the place of aspiration, spontaneously accomplish and abandon attachment, are unobstructed and permanent, and can answer all questions." As it is said, they spontaneously accomplish without effort or dependence, and abandon afflictive obscurations.

Not attached to a place, unobstructed due to abandoning the obscurations to knowledge, constantly abiding due to being uninterrupted, all sentient beings of the three realms simultaneously ask questions in many different languages, and can simultaneously answer according to their own languages and thoughts, possessing five qualities. The five superknowledges and four individual correct knowledges are the same as previously described. The four all-purities are: having mastery over taking birth, abiding, and abandoning, the support body is pure, and having mastery over the emanation and transformation of forms, sounds, smells, tastes, tactile objects, etc., enjoyment is pure, object of focus is pure, having mastery over samadhi, pure mind is pure, having mastery over wisdom, it is called wisdom completely pure. The ten powers, ten strengths, and four fearlessnesses are the same as before. The three unguardednesses are: all actions of body, speech, and mind are naturally virtuous, and for all behaviors, there is no confusion of needing to hide for fear of being known by others. The three mindfulnesses are: when the Buddhas teach the Dharma, some listen to the Dharma with reverence, respect, and attention, but have no attachment to it; some listen to the Dharma without reverence, respect, or attention, but have no anger towards them; some listen to the Dharma with reverence, some listen to the Dharma without reverence, but have no attachment or anger towards them. The nature of not forgetting is: even events that occurred immeasurable eons ago are not forgotten, but are known as if they were happening now. Completely destroying habitual tendencies is: the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddha Arhats, although they have abandoned all afflictions, still have slight errors in body and speech due to not destroying the habitual tendencies of afflictions; the Buddhas have completely destroyed all habitual tendencies, so there is not even a trace of misconduct or error. Great compassion for beings is: the Buddhas, with great compassion, constantly observe all sentient beings at all times and in all ways, who will prosper, who will decline, who will be liberated from the suffering of the lower realms and placed in the happiness of the higher realms and the path of liberation, who should be liberated from all the bonds of afflictions, etc., three times during the day and three times during the night.
