Both origination ceasing and ceasing, etc., are accepted in both forward and reverse order. According to the latter, whether it is karma due to ignorance, etc., or karma ceasing due to ignorance ceasing, etc., whatever it is, it is forward origination. From what does old age and death arise? It arises from birth, etc. When birth ceases, old age and death cease. When existence ceases, birth ceases, etc., whatever it is, it is accepted as reverse origination. This latter forward and reverse origination, combined with the order of knowing the four noble truths, as it appears in the Abhidharmasamuccaya. If the order of origination is combined with forward origination, then the truth of the origin is determined. If the order of origination is combined with reverse origination, then the truth of suffering is determined. Similarly, the two forward and reverse orders of cessation determine the path and cessation. Among them, the origin is the root of all afflictions, ignorance, and from that, karma is accumulated through actions. First, starting from the two, karma and affliction, of the origin, determining karma, etc., due to ignorance with wisdom is determining the cause of the completely afflicted side, the origin. Also, the main causes of all the sufferings of samsara are birth and old age and death. Therefore, from what does old age and death arise? It arises from birth. From what does birth arise? It arises from existence. From what does existence arise? It arises from grasping, etc., combined with reverse origination, the result of the completely afflicted side, the truth of suffering, is determined. Also, by examining the root of the origin, ignorance, with the wisdom of realizing selflessness, which is the nature of the truth of the path, when ignorance ceases, karma ceases, etc., determining the forward origination of the cessation order, the cause of the pure side, the truth of the path, is determined. Also, the cessation of the two main sufferings of samsara to be abandoned, birth and death, is the truth of cessation. Therefore, when birth ceases, old age and death cease. When existence ceases, birth ceases. When grasping ceases, existence ceases, etc., up to between ignorance ceasing and karma ceasing, by thinking, the result of the pure side, the truth of cessation, is determined. After carefully examining these, it can be known that the root of this great mass of suffering of samsara arises from the ignorance of self-grasping, and the root of all paths is the wisdom of realizing selflessness, etc. One should strive to obtain certainty beyond the wisdom arising from hearing, and obtain definite understanding through the wisdom arising from thinking.

Because dependent arising is the treasure of the Victorious One's treasury of truthful speech. In the fifth chapter, the section on the four great wheels, the five wrong livelihoods are: Stealing or deceiving by means, that is, abandoning what one has, making sounds that others cannot hear, etc., not directly begging, but seeking gain by means. Seeking gain by gain, that is, repeatedly praising what others have given to oneself, and seeking gain by that means. Flattery, that is, seeking gain by praising others, etc., hypocritically. Pretending, that is, pretending to have qualities that one does not have, in order to obtain offerings through faith. Measuring what is obtained, that is, saying to the patron, "You also need something like what I have obtained," or complaining that "Someone like me, who has qualities, should not receive such gains." The seven qualities of higher realms are: Long life, as well as freedom from illness, beauty and good fortune, and noble birth, wealth and pure wisdom, these seven. In the sixth chapter, the section on refuge, the three fears are, in general, the fear of the suffering of samsara, in particular, the fear arising from self-interest, and especially, the fear arising from ordinary clinging to illusion. Furthermore, the qualities of the Buddhas are infinite, etc. In the section on what is abandoned, there are two types: what is abandoned by seeing and what is abandoned by meditation. First, the one hundred and twelve that are abandoned by seeing are: attachment, anger, pride, ignorance, doubt, view of the perishable aggregate, extreme view, wrong view, view of holding views as supreme, view of holding ethics and vows as supreme, the five non-views and the five views, the ten roots of what is abandoned by seeing. These, with respect to the four truths, the view of the perishable aggregate, extreme view, wrong view, and ignorance and doubt are actual, anger enters wrongly by force, the remaining phenomena enter through transformation. The desire realm has all ten, the form and formless realms do not have anger. Thus, there are one hundred and twelve. Among these, first, the ten roots of what is abandoned by seeing are: desire, anger, pride, ignorance, doubt, these five non-views. View of the perishable aggregate, extreme view, wrong view, view of holding views as supreme, view of holding ethics and vows as supreme, these five views, a total of ten. These, with respect to the four truths, are one hundred and twelve in the way they enter wrongly. In the desire realm, each of the four truths has ten wrong entries, so there are forty. In the two upper realms, there is no anger.
