It is perfected in the state of discriminating wisdom, in the manner of pacifying elaboration, and thus the meaning of the name "Manifestly Perfect Enlightenment" is also accomplished. In the seven impure grounds, all the activities of the subsequent bodhisattvas are accomplished by relying on the samadhi of all aspects, but it has the same meaning as the realm of great perfection, which is free from characteristics. It is not possible to learn in one breath, and although the seventh ground has only the samadhi free from characteristics, it is also accompanied by effort, so there are separate gradual and sudden practices. From the eighth ground onwards, relying on the samadhi of emptiness that possesses all perfections, in the uncontaminated realm, all the qualities of the Tathagata, immeasurable qualities, and inconceivable qualities are obtained in sequence. Relying on the path free from characteristics and effort, the two benefits of oneself and others are spontaneously accomplished, and it is the time to learn the union of samsara and nirvana as equality. Therefore, the two practices of sudden and gradual begin to merge inseparably, and until the end of the continuum, on the uninterrupted path, the ultimate supreme qualities of the purification of defilements in the realm are attained. Having abandoned the sixteen opponents who hold the two truths as different without exception, the equality of sameness and after, the two practices of sudden and gradual become inseparable, and wisdom and samadhi are equal, and the wisdom of the moment is manifested. Furthermore, in many sutras such as the Bhadrakalpa Sutra and the Samadhiraja Sutra, many doors of bodhisattva conduct are enumerated, and it is said that those are samadhis such as equality and freedom from elaboration, which are all included in this gradual samadhi. The necessity of cultivating these two is: if there is no sudden practice of contemplating all dharmas as emptiness, one cannot abandon the two obscurations along with their predispositions, and one cannot attain the state of Buddhahood that understands all dharmas as equality. If there is no gradual practice of mastering all objects of knowledge in the subsequent attainment, one cannot attain the omniscient fruit of manifesting all dharmas by merely manifesting one uncontaminated dharma. As the Uttaratantra says: "The purification of temporary afflictions is, in short, no

It is said to be the fruit of non-discriminating wisdom. The Dharmakaya, which possesses all excellent aspects, will definitely be attained. It is shown that it is the fruit of wisdom obtained from subsequent attainment. These meanings are the same. In short, the cause for attaining the two kayas of the ultimate Buddha, the ultimate practice of the Mahayana path, is these two. Therefore, within these categories are emptiness and compassion, wisdom and means, path and ground, the path of seeing and the path of meditation, profundity and vastness, wisdom and samadhi, abandonment and realization, suchness and as-far-as-it-exists, Dharmakaya and Rupakaya, and so on. Some have the same essence, some have similar directions, some have different magnitudes, and some become causes and effects, and these should also be examined. In the stages of accumulation and preparation, because one is bound by the self-grasping of one's own mind and has not been liberated from the bonds of karma and afflictions, it is necessary to primarily meditate on complete emptiness. From the attainment of the grounds onwards, one should primarily engage in benefiting others, and primarily cultivate the gradual meditation as the cause for the wisdom of omniscience. Therefore, it is said that one should gradually meditate from the attainment of the peak, and the meaning of "that which is excellent, that which is the order" can also be interpreted in this way. Therefore, some say that the profound emptiness that is like the sky, free from elaboration, and beyond the mind, is the Dharma of noble beings and other supreme individuals, while those who say that the teachings on conduct, such as the sutras of the final turning of the wheel and their commentaries, are the Dharma for beginners, are merely speaking separately from the tradition of the Victorious One and his heirs. For example, what is the need to explain the taste of brown sugar to someone who is chewing brown sugar? What benefit would there be in setting up a feast of many cooked foods for a baby born yesterday? Similarly, what is the need to explain the profound meaning to a noble being who has realized the profound meaning? A person who has not seen the nature of the path of seeing and has not become familiar with the samadhi of the path of meditation cannot even learn the mere characteristics of the six perfections of the Mahayana path, let alone the vast conduct of a Bodhisattva who has attained inconceivable liberation. Giving destroys miserliness, possesses non-discriminating wisdom, fulfills all desires, and ripens sentient beings in three ways, etc.
