Because this is a continuous garland created by the earth, it is certain that it itself is emptiness and selflessness, etc., and it is believed that everything is contained in each other, and this is practiced. Moreover, the scriptures say that the gradual path is the thirteen things such as mindfulness of the Buddha. If it is thought how can the contemplation of impermanence and other aspects be regarded as the gradual path? These thirteen are the limbs of the gradual path contemplation, but not the real essence of contemplation. That is to say, the Three Jewels are the basis of all refuge paths, so they are the basis; mindfulness of the deity is the power of the path contemplation; contemplating each aspect also possesses the six perfections, and contemplating in the way of realizing emptiness, so the latter seven are the ways of contemplation; mindfulness of generosity and discipline, if one abides in these two, then in all lifetimes, one will have the body of the heavens as the basis, and with perfect enjoyment, one will have all the favorable conditions for practicing the path, so in other lives, it will also become a helper of habituation. Therefore, the real object of contemplation is, in the case of the intermediate realization, "the practice of its nature, its excellence, its order", at these times, if the definite word "that" is related to the aspects of the three wisdoms, then the object of contemplation of the gradual path becomes the aspect of the three wisdoms, and if the latter "that" indicates the former "that", then it must also be explained that the complete practice becomes excellent, and that itself is the end of the order, so in any case, it can be determined that outside the object of contemplation at the time of complete practice, there is no object of contemplation of the gradual path. If it is said that outside the object of contemplation of the complete practice, there is no object of contemplation of the gradual path, then why are these two established as two realizations? These two have differences such as primary and secondary. The complete practice mainly contemplates all dharmas represented by the aspects of the three wisdoms as emptiness and free from elaboration; while the gradual path mainly cultivates the power of samadhi of all aspects by being motivated by great compassion; in addition, the complete practice is meditation, while the gradual path is mainly post-meditation contemplation. That is to say, these two practices are simultaneous

The meaning of what is said later: It is not the case that the state of mind being placed in samadhi is established as meditative equipoise, and the state of rising from that and engaging in conduct is established as post-meditation. Rather, for noble ones who have attained the bhumis, establishing non-conceptual wisdom in the sphere free from characteristics is meditative equipoise, and subsequently training in samadhi of all aspects is established as post-meditation. Moreover, now, when beginners meditate, even when meditating on the complete stage, impermanence and so on appear before the mind, and they meditate by determining that very thing as emptiness. Gradually, even in the state of not being separated from emptiness, they clarify and purify the various aspects in order. Therefore, the difference between meditating on each aspect individually and meditating by combining many aspects, and the difference between the importance of emptiness and aspects, are merely differences. Although it seems that there is no difference between meditative equipoise and post-meditation, when meditating on the complete stage after attaining the noble path, it is not necessary to determine each aspect as emptiness and meditate on it as unborn. Like salt dissolving in water, all the dualistic appearances of object and subject are purified in the space of one non-conceptual wisdom, so the ultimate truth is realized, free from all mental elaborations, hence it is meditative equipoise. The noble individuals, like the virtuous friends of Sudhana in the Gandavyuha Sutra, who demonstrate the power of their respective samadhi liberations, accomplish even the vast bodhisattva practices such as generosity solely through the power of samadhi. Therefore, relying on gradual meditation, the samadhi with aspects is realized, which is established as post-meditation. Furthermore, the meditative equipoise of the noble ones is the pacification of all elaborations, so although there is no separate meditation on various aspects, it is not that there are no aspects at all. For example, at the peak of the path of seeing, each of generosity and so on, whatever gathers those together, is the path of seeing gathered by a single moment of patience. Just as it is said that the nature of the thirty-six perfections, six times six, is the path of seeing, all the aspects of the three wisdoms are not in meditative equipoise.
