Thus it is practiced. Also, at the time of the ground-wisdom, it is said that all dharmas are represented by the seven knowable appearances, and that these are also meditated upon through the four gates of non-conceit. By meditating in this way, all the types of realization of the three vehicles arise in one's own mindstream without exception, temporarily. Ultimately, all of these are purified into the realm of emptiness, freedom from elaboration, and non-attachment, and this union of appearance and emptiness, skillful means and wisdom, and the two accumulations is the supreme and unsurpassed path that pleases the Buddhas, which those with intelligence should realize. At this time, some aspects of the wisdom of the Buddhas alone, such as the powers and fearlessnesses, cannot be directly meditated upon now, but are meditated upon in the manner of wishing and aspiring to generate them in one's own mindstream in the future. Once one has attained the bhumis, it is said that even though these are not real, one can generate similar types in one's own mindstream. Second, the gradual meditation: In this way, all the aspects of the three wisdoms are condensed into one hundred and three aspects, and when meditating, each one is meditated upon in the manner of the union of the two truths, with the yoga of the complete stage. All the meditations that have arisen in one's own mindstream are quickly linked together in sequence, and these are also meditated upon in a way that they are all integrated into each other, so that at the time of the complete stage yoga, the realizations that have arisen in one's own mindstream are stabilized. For example, when meditating on the aspect of the truth of suffering of the first wisdom, one first focuses on impermanence and suffering, etc., one by one, and in the relative truth, one generates a stable understanding that all conditioned things are impermanent. Also, in the ultimate truth, one knows that it is emptiness, so there is no pride or attachment to it. Meditating on these two in union as they arise again and again in the mindstream is the meditation of the complete stage. In this way, when various aspects have arisen in the mindstream, impermanence, suffering, emptiness, selflessness, etc., are repeatedly refined in the manner of clarifying them in one's own mindstream with each moment of the completion phase, and the other three aspects are also included in impermanence alone. Because impermanence itself is said to be suffering.
