Like space, because there is no arising or non-arising, it abandons afflictions such as attachment; being unrelated to complete arising and non-arising, it is liberated from complete clinging; because it is liberated from causes and non-causes, its nature is inexpressible, these are the four (characteristics). The characteristics of the Truth of Cessation are: from "because" etc. to "diseases do not arise." Because it is free from both cessation and non-cessation that are separate from afflictions, the meaning of the Truth of Cessation cannot be expressed in words and given to others; in ultimate truth, because there is no peace or non-peace of suffering, it can achieve no object of focus; because there are no virtues or non-virtues of bliss and purity, it is extremely pure; because there is no definite arising or non-arising, all diseases do not arise and the gods follow, these are the four (characteristics). The characteristics of the Truth of the Path are: from "the cutting off of bad destinies" etc., it shows "there is no arising." Because it realizes that the path that leads to liberation and the non-path are not paths, it cuts off birth in the three bad destinies; because it is the antidote to afflictions, and the reason for not applying the antidote, and being free from non-reason, it does not conceptualize the three spheres in the method of manifesting the result; because the mind is liberated from correct and incorrect practice and non-practice, it is unrelated to the characteristics of all pure and impure dharmas; because there is no going to the state of constant benefit and the two extremes of definite and non-definite arising, the consciousness that grasps the object to be expressed and the name that expresses it and the two as different does not arise, these are the four (characteristics). Secondly, the summary of the meaning is: "The moment of all-knowing wisdom," meaning that, in this way, the sixteen moments that have the aspect of being free from the thirty-two additions and subtractions are the path of seeing for bodhisattvas. Conversely, clinging to and meditating on the sixteen aspects of impermanence etc. is the path of seeing for hearers and self-realizers. Sixth, the conclusion of the three wisdoms is: In this way, from "this" etc., it shows "is the teaching." In this way, these ten dharmas that represent all-aspect wisdom, and these eleven dharmas that represent path wisdom, and these nine dharmas that represent ground wisdom, these completely show the three states of the three wisdoms.
