The accumulation of wisdom that studies emptiness. To become accustomed to this, to benefit others with correct wisdom and samadhi, from which merit arises, is the accumulation of merit. By becoming accustomed to the two accumulations, and striving in the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the accumulation of the path arises on the path, mainly consisting of union, seeing, and meditation. To possess the path is to obtain, over many eons, the memory that is the cause for teaching the Dharma, and to obtain unobstructed dharani, which is the accumulation of dharani. The state of realization upon obtaining dharani is the accumulation of grounds, which serves as the basis for subsequent qualities. The distinction in the state of abandoning what is to be abandoned on each ground is the accumulation of antidotes, and these seventeen are called the accomplishment of accumulations. That is, Saṃbhāra (སཾ་བྷ་ར་, Sanskrit: saṃbhāra, Romanized Sanskrit: saṃbhāra, literal meaning: accumulation) is called an accumulation, where Saṃ (སཾ་, Sanskrit: saṃ, Romanized Sanskrit: saṃ, literal meaning: completely) means to accomplish completely, Bha (བྷ་, Sanskrit: bha, Romanized Sanskrit: bha, literal meaning: essence) means essence, and Ra (ར་, Sanskrit: ra, Romanized Sanskrit: ra, literal meaning: holding) means to hold. It is the essence of the great Bodhi that is completely accomplished. Since the entire Mahayana is held through the gate of accomplishing the two truths, it is the accomplishment of accumulations, and it should be known that these are the seventeen stages. Second, to explain the difficult points in detail, there are two: the accumulation of grounds and the accumulation of antidotes. First, among the nine, the complete purification of the first ground is: it is to be understood from the ten complete purifications, etc. This means that whichever ground is attained, it is practiced in particular, and the ground is completely purified by increasing the qualities of that ground and eliminating the faults. Therefore, when purifying these ten aspects of the first complete purification, the first ground is attained. What are these ten? They are: sincere intention that is not mixed with the mind of a Hearer or Solitary Realizer who only cares for their own benefit; holding the Mahayana Dharma as the cause for omniscience, for the benefit of oneself and others; equanimity towards all sentient beings through the four immeasurables; giving away all possessions without attachment to the three spheres; pleasing the spiritual friend who inspires omniscience; seeking the object of the sacred Dharma belonging to the three vehicles and not falling into the ground of Hearers or Solitary Realizers; always having the nature of renunciation from home, thereby ordaining in the Buddha's teachings; always wanting to accomplish the Buddha's body, rejoicing when seeing it, and keeping it in mind; teaching the sacred Dharma that is virtuous from beginning to end; and treating others as vowed.

It speaks of the infallible truth. Know that these ten completely purify all that is to be purified, because they realize that no appearance of true nature exists. Homage to the Guru! The purification of the second ground is: as stated in the precepts, etc., one should be diligent. That is, pure precepts that are free from the thoughts of hearers and solitary realizers, that guard, gather, and accomplish benefit; repaying kindnesses done by others; enduring harm done by others and abandoning harmful thoughts towards sentient beings; not regretting guiding sentient beings to the three vehicles and being very happy; not being weary of the suffering of many eons for the sake of each sentient being, having great compassion; bowing and respectfully serving those who are worthy of respect with an attitude of subduing pride; knowing the virtuous friend as a teacher and listening respectfully to his teachings; and being happy to practice the six perfections for the benefit of others, and so on, are eight. The purification of the third ground is: as stated in hearing, etc., that is, listening to the Dharma from all the Buddhas in the ten directions, listening without being satisfied; not looking at the distractions of all gains, teaching the Dharma without hoping for the fruit of enlightenment; dedicating the roots of virtue that purify the fields as the cause of purifying the fields, purifying all the Buddha-fields; even if harmed in return for kindness, not being discouraged, not being weary of samsara; from one's own side, having a sense of shame; from the side of others, having a sense of embarrassment, not generating the thoughts of hearers and solitary realizers, and not having attachment and arrogance towards these five. The purification of the fourth ground is: as stated in dwelling in the forest, etc., there is no view. That is, external solitude is a distance of one yojana away from the village; internal solitude is dwelling in a forest free from the thoughts of the Lesser Vehicle; even if one obtains a small amount of inferior things, one is not displeased, which is having few desires; even if one obtains many excellent things, one is not satisfied by them, which is being content; having few desires without generating desire for enlightenment; being content without arrogance even if one obtains omniscience; relying on the twelve common trainings to properly guard the basis; relying on the uncommon training of not being afraid of the profound meaning of freedom from elaboration; for the sake of one's vows of training, one does not abandon even one's life, and
