Also, there is the decline of not having attained, but the Thus-gone One does not have both. The third is the activity of the body that tames sentient beings by emitting light, stepping, opening the eyes, etc., the activity of speech that teaches in accordance with the thoughts and predispositions of sentient beings, and the activity of mind that has abandoned all predispositions and possesses great love, etc., which arise from the cause of previously arisen wisdom, so wisdom goes first, and since it runs together with wisdom, it is the form of following wisdom, this is three. The fourth is that all knowable things of the three times of past, future and present are known by mere desire, so there is no attachment, and the form of unobstructed wisdom because of knowing everything, this is three. Two, the nature of these: It is impossible that the Buddhas do not teach the Thusness, except that they teach the three vehicles and the one vehicle according to the differences of the beings to be tamed, so the Thusness taught by all the Buddhas is the completely pure and immaculate Nirvana. Three, by what are these: To have dominion over all phenomena of conditioned and unconditioned is by the power of self-arising, self-arising is self-arising wisdom. Self-arising is also twofold: the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu and the one with an end that manifests all knowable things. From the point of view of the first, it is said in the Treatise on the Essence of the Tathagata: "In all the world realms, some may become inconceivable words, but space will never be destroyed, self-arising wisdom is the same." Like this. The second is that the Bodhisattva has taken the advice of the virtuous friend as a step for a long time, and arises spontaneously without relying on a teacher, as it is said: "The near-goer, I am the Buddha, I have no teacher." Like this. The first of these is the Thusness taught by all the Buddhas, so the second is taken here. Four, for whom is it: The form of the Buddha who perfectly and truly realizes all aspects of as it is and as many as there are, this is three. Also, when one obtains the wisdom of omniscience by focusing on the Thusness, it is self-arising from the point of view of having the power to freely control things, and it is the Buddha from the point of view of knowing various knowable things without mixing them.

Apart from that, there is no other difference. Therefore, the nature of the thirty-six qualities is suchness, and the dominion over the accumulation of qualities, or to whom those qualities belong, is self-arisen, and for whom it is, is the last, thus there are three aspects. Second, regarding the individual practitioner, there are four: listening, receiving, holding, and proper attention. First, the vessel for listening has three characteristics: those sons or daughters of good families who hear this sutra, they are also those who have done deeds for the Buddhas of the past. Those who hear this sutra, they are also those who have planted roots of virtue in the Tathagata. Similarly, associating with virtuous friends, being embraced by virtuous friends. Second, the vessel for receiving is: honoring many Buddhas is the vessel for remembering words in the mind, and by holding, reciting, and understanding, one can also truly practice, and these people are those who have honored many Buddhas. Third, the vessel for holding is: after honoring the Buddhas, asking about all doubtful points is the vessel for holding meaning, that is, the Tathagatas, Arhats, and Samyak-sambuddhas of the past, who have asked, inquired, relied upon, and honored. Fourth, the vessel for proper attention is: after relying on the Buddha and others, practicing generosity and other paramitas, this is the vessel for proper attention, that is, in the past, in front of countless Buddhas, practicing generosity and even the samadhi paramita. They practiced the Prajnaparamita from many Buddhas. So it is said. Third, regarding the nature of practice, there are two: the way of arising of practice and the practice that has arisen. First, if we consider the way of arising, there are five kinds of practice. That is, clinging to objects (form, etc.), realizing that it is not a true dwelling, this is the non-dwelling practice. Clinging to those forms, etc., not practicing itself is the practice for the true meaning, this is the non-practice practice. These two prevent clinging to the object and the subject, so it is called preventing dwelling and yoga. As an example, form, etc.
