For those ascetics, etc. Third, fearlessness regarding the Dharma that obstructs is: If those things that I have shown as the Dharma of obstruction, relying on them will not become the Dharma of obstruction, such a place does not exist, because here I have ascetics, etc. Fourth, fearlessness regarding the path of definite emergence is: The noble path of definite emergence that I have spoken of, if practiced, will not lead to definite emergence for the sake of completely exhausting suffering, such a place does not exist. Because even if I practice it truthfully, it will not completely exhaust suffering, ascetics, etc. would say such a thing. Among them, ascetics and Brahmins are those who pride themselves on wisdom. Gods and demons are those who are perfect with divine eyes and knowledge of others' minds, etc. Brahma is the one with great power and magical abilities. Therefore, they are mentioned because they are very arrogant. The pleasure of not having body hair standing on end, shrinking back, etc., by the power of obtaining it, vowing to be in the position of the king of elephants, is because the activity of the body is pure. The fearlessness of not having fear or inferiority in speech, by the power of obtaining it, proclaiming like a lion, is because the activity of speech is pure. The fearlessness of not having doubts or fears in the mind, by the power of obtaining it, turning the wheel of Dharma like Brahma, is because the activity of the mind is pure. Or, Brahma is the Tathagata because he is superior to all. The third is the four types of individual perfect knowledge. What are they? Whether it is the twelve scriptures, or the one with white light and the one with the rabbit, etc., entering the various realms of expressive names without attachment to tasting flavors and obstruction of knowledge, this is the aspect of Dharma's individual perfect knowledge. The realm of the expressed or the self and common characteristics of all dharmas in the twelve sections, as before, is meaning. The realm of the language of sentient beings belonging to the six realms or the language of each place, as before, is the definitive word, etc. For the sake of showing others, the manifestation of the three, such as Dharma, or the realm of the detailed distinctions of the nature and types of existing and imputed entities of all dharmas, as before, is fearlessness, etc. These four also have no attachment or obstruction to the four realms.

Therefore, each is fully aware. The fourth is the eighteen unmixed qualities of the Buddha's virtues. Among them are six summarized by conduct, six summarized by realization, three summarized by activity, and three summarized by wisdom. The first of these is that the Tathagata does not have the six faults that lesser vehicle Arhats may have. For example, there is no harm from elephants, cows, fierce dogs, etc., and there is no mistake such as stepping on a black snake, so the karma of the body is pure. There is no noisy sound from getting lost, and there is no noisy sound such as a loud horse neighing due to habit, so the karma of speech is pure. There is no loss of memory from forgetting things or missing opportunities, and whether in meditation or not, there is no lack of equanimity at all times. There is no clinging to the opposition of samsara and nirvana, and there is no notion of difference arising from clinging to the same, and there is no abandonment of the meaning of taming sentient beings without separately examining the time, etc. These four are the purification of the karma of mind, so there are six in total. The second is that the Tathagatas are always doing things for the benefit of sentient beings, and there is a constant desire for love, great compassion, and other dharmas, so there is no decline in desire. For the sake of each sentient being, even if it means passing through Buddha-fields as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, there is no decline in diligence in going to that place. From the time of enlightenment, the conduct of the minds of all sentient beings of the three times, and the methods of taming them, etc., are placed in memory, so there is no decline in memory that does not require thinking about it later. There is no decline in samadhi, which is the equal abiding in the suchness of all dharmas. There is no decline in wisdom, which is the inexhaustible knowledge of the conduct of the minds of sentient beings and the teaching of the Dharma. Until the end of samsara, there is no decline in the inexhaustible liberation in doing things for the benefit of sentient beings, so there are six in total. Among these six, desire is the basis, the four are the roots, and the last is the fruit, and these six are not lost after being attained by the lesser vehicle.
