and the complete discernment of each of these. Which stage of the path are these? They are at the stage of warmth and peak. The fourth is the result, which is the swift attainment of the path of seeing and the accomplishment of the four paths of union. Why are these five called faculties? The Ornament of Realization states, "Because they become the masters of accomplishing the noble path." The fifth, the path associated with direct realization, is that when the five faculties of the nature of warmth and peak are obtained, the five powers of the nature of forbearance and supreme are produced. The object and method of meditation of this are the same as the faculties, and the nature is from the power of faith to the power of wisdom. The difference between the faculties and these two is stated in the Commentary on the Treasury, "Why are the faculties alone also explained as powers? Because there is no obscuration or non-obscuration due to the difference between small and large." Also, the Great Commentary states, "The arising of dissimilar aspects such as disbelief mixed with similar aspects such as faith is called faculty. The arising of only similar aspects without the mixing of dissimilar aspects is called power." It is like that. The result is the accomplishment of the latter two paths of union and the path of seeing. These two earlier and later paths are said to be associated with direct realization and union, although both are both. However, it is intended to be associated remotely with the path of seeing of true direct realization and closely associated. The sixth is the path of direct realization, so the nature of the path associated with direct realization, when the four paths of union are obtained, because the path of direct realization, the path of newly seeing the truth, arises, therefore that path is the seven aspects of enlightenment. What are the object, method of meditation, nature, way of becoming a limb, and result of this? First, the object is the suchness of the four truths. Second, the method of meditation is, with the limb of mindfulness, the correct enlightenment, focusing on suffering, seeking and abiding in separation from it. Focusing on the origin, seeking and abiding in detachment from its desire. Focusing on the cessation of suffering, seeking and abiding in its manifestation. Focusing on becoming abandoning suffering through the means of accomplishing the path to the cessation of suffering, seeking its meditation, that is, the remaining six are also like that.

Third, the essence is: By whose power the other limbs do not waver from the object and aspect, that is, the limb of abiding, the right mindfulness of perfect enlightenment, and the aspect of the limb of perfect enlightenment, which also applies to the following. Because it is the essence of non-conceptual wisdom, it is the limb of self-nature, discrimination of dharma; because it far transcends the ground of ordinary beings, it is the limb of renunciation, diligence; because it benefits body and mind, it is the limb of benefit, joy; because it is the basis of non-affliction, the place of non-affliction, and the essence of non-affliction, the limbs of non-affliction are extreme joy, samadhi, and equanimity. Among them, the first makes body and mind serviceable, thereby abandoning the evil destinies where body and mind are unserviceable; the second generates correct wisdom by the power of equipoise, thereby abandoning afflictions; the third is the antidote to the mind's inequality, that is, the mind abiding in accordance with afflictions, as well as non-peacefulness, and afflictions with effort. The difference between the basis and the place is the basis as the object and the agent. Thus, in the *Madhyāntavibhāga*: "The limb of self-nature and the limb of abiding, the third is the limb of renunciation, the fourth is the limb of benefit, the three limbs of non-affliction, in this, the basis and the place and the essence have been shown." Fourth, the way to become a limb is, in the commentary on the *Madhyāntavibhāga*: "Manifestly complete enlightenment is non-conceptual wisdom. Among them, the seven, such as mindfulness, are its limbs because they are in accordance with enlightenment. Discrimination of dharma is the nature of realization, therefore it is enlightenment, because it becomes their companion, therefore it is a limb." Thus. Fifth, the result is: abandoning all that is to be abandoned by seeing. Seventh, the pure definitive path is: when the path of direct perception of seeing the truth directly is attained, the essence of the path of cultivation, the pure definitive path, arises, and that path is the eightfold noble path. The object and the way of meditation of these are as before. The essence is: how the non-self of dharma and person is realized in the path of seeing, and in the path of cultivation, I realize it in this way
