The severance and antidote of clinging to characteristics on the result. First, there are two: what is to be severed and the antidote. First, what is to be severed is: the phenomena of the aggregates, such as the basis of form, and clinging to the characteristics of phenomena belonging to the three times, and clinging to the characteristics of the phenomena from the path of generosity to omniscience. The second antidote is: When a great Bodhisattva skillfully uses the mother, he does not cling to form as being called form. And, regarding past phenomena, he does not cling to past phenomena as being called past phenomena. And, when a great Bodhisattva skillfully uses the mother, he does not think, "I have given a gift, I have given a gift to this, I have given such a gift," or, "I will purify the Buddha-field," or, "I will ripen sentient beings," or, "I will attain this omniscience." He does not think in this way. These are the three things to be severed, corresponding to the number. Second, there are also two types of severance and antidote in conduct. First, what is to be severed is: the conduct with characteristics of dedicating to enlightenment with attachment to the mind that dedicates and the merit to be dedicated, that is, clinging to the great Bodhisattva as a Bodhisattva, clinging to generosity, from, clinging to the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, clinging to the Buddha Bhagavan, clinging to whatever roots of virtue are generated towards the Buddha, manifestly collecting those roots of virtue, combining them into one, measuring them, and dedicating them to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. This is, कौशिका (kaushika, कौशिका, Kauśika, Kausika), the attachment of the great Bodhisattvas. The second antidote is: When practicing in this way, "I am not giving generosity." From, "I am not practicing the unshared qualities of the Buddha." "I am not engaging in the practice of enlightenment." He does not discriminate in this way. In this way, the great Bodhisattva should also truly teach others, cause them to accept it, cause them to rejoice, and cause them to be very happy. Third, on the result, the first of the two types of severance and antidote of clinging to characteristics is: taking the Thus-gone One as a characteristic, prostrating with the body, praising with speech, etc., are all unfavorable aspects of the Bodhisattva path. If these are antidotes, then they contradict that.

Although these are antidotes to some obscurations, etc., they are not antidotes in all cases because they are the nature of subtle attachment. Second, the antidote is to abandon attachment by knowing that all dharmas are without self-nature and are of one self-nature. That is, the self-nature of dharmas is not dualistic. Subhuti, the self-nature of dharmas is exhausted in one. What is the self-nature of dharmas? It is non-self-nature. What is non-self-nature? It is self-nature. What is self-nature? It is the unconditioned. Subhuti, if a great bodhisattva knows and sees that the one self-nature of dharmas, which is non-self-nature, manifests as the unconditioned, then all extremes of attachment are completely abandoned. So it is said. Fourth, there are two ways to practice: the nature of yoga
