It is said that because the nature of the path is the same, all eight abodes are suitable as the root. Fourth, accumulating merit: From the perspective of repaying kindness, solitary realizers will be perfected in a hundred great kalpas. Because it is generally said that way, all three (hearers, solitary realizers, bodhisattvas) similarly accumulate merit for a hundred great kalpas. Among these three, some of the latter two are uncertain whether they are of the Hearer lineage and have become solitary realizers, as stated in the commentary on the Treasury of Knowledge. Fifth, abiding, there are two types of abiding: abiding of mind and abiding of body. The first is: Having faith in the profound Dharma, earnestly comprehending profound dependent origination, and keeping in mind and abiding in the three doors of liberation, all three are the same. Second, the abiding of the body is: Practicing like a rhinoceros, abiding alone, while the other two will abide in groups. Sixth, wandering: All of these, whether relying on and abiding in towns or villages, must strictly guard their bodies, restrain their senses, and be very mindful, so they enter towns and other places for alms, and they show love to the inferior with their bodies, not with words, because they also teach the Dharma with their bodies, not with words, and to avoid disputes, they do not display various miracles. Seventh, explaining the meaning of words: The commentary on the Treasury of Knowledge says: Without scriptural authority, because one is enlightened alone, one is a solitary realizer. The explanation of the first difference is: Just as a rhinoceros has no second, similarly, they also abide without mixing with householders, renunciates, and other solitary realizers, so they are called like rhinoceroses. And so on. Third, knowing the Bodhisattva path, there are two: the path of seeing and the path of meditation. First, the path of seeing is divided into two: the basis for the arising of the path of seeing, and the path of seeing that relies on it. First, the basis is divided into two: the basis of the body and the basis of the mind. First, the basis of the body is: It can arise in the body of humans and desire gods, except for places where the sound is unpleasant, because the lower realms and places where the sound is unpleasant have the obscuration of fruition. And it does not arise in the upper realms, and one cannot realize the truth without being born. This is stated in the Collected Topics and the Treasury of Knowledge. Second, the basis of the mind is: It can be any of the six dhyana grounds, that is, the formless

Because their insight portion is less, they are not relied upon. Second, the relied-upon Path of Seeing is divided into: the explanation of the classification of moments, the explanation of the manner of abandoning what is abandoned by seeing, and the explanation of the arising of the classification of moments. First, the explanation of the classification of moments is that, although various schools have different views on the number of moments, the most famous is stated in the Abhidharmakośa: "In that, fifteen moments are the Path of Seeing because of seeing what was not seen." This means that the Path of Seeing has fifteen moments, as well as the subsequent knowledge of the path and the Path of Meditation. However, the Ornament of Clear Realization and the Compendium of Topics, etc., state that there are sixteen moments. Second, the manner of abandoning what is abandoned by seeing is that, in the Abhidharmakośa, it is said that the uninterrupted path of abandoning what is abandoned by seeing, which accepts the four forbearance of dharma, and the liberation path of the four knowledges of dharma, and the uninterrupted path of abandoning what is abandoned by seeing of the higher realms of the four forbearance of subsequent knowledge, and the liberation path of the four knowledges of subsequent knowledge. According to the view of the Compendium of Topics, the forbearance of dharma of suffering abandons all the suffering to be abandoned by seeing of the three realms, and the knowledge of dharma of suffering makes the liberation path manifest, and the subsequent forbearance of suffering focuses on the two, the forbearance of dharma of suffering and the knowledge of dharma of suffering, and holds, "This is the cause of the dharmas of the noble ones," and the subsequent knowledge of suffering focuses on the subsequent forbearance and holds it as before. The remaining three are also the same. Thus, the objects of these wisdoms are that the forbearance of dharma and the knowledge of dharma focus on the suchness of truth and become the object to be taken, and the subsequent forbearance and subsequent knowledge focus on the wisdom that has the object and become the object that is held. The measure of a moment is up to the point where the realization of one's own object is completed, it is the completion of the action, and not the moment at the end of time, because that is inexpressible. Thus, it is thought that teachers like Simhavadra and most scholars follow this latter view. Third, the manner of the arising of the classification of moments is divided into three points: stating the view, explaining the rationality, and the manner of speaking from the scriptures. First, stating the view is divided into two points, the first view is that, depending on the manifest realization of the result, the Path of Seeing is one moment, and depending on the individual realizations, there are sixteen moments. The first meaning is that, to know, abandon, manifest, and cultivate the four truths in order is the Path of Seeing.
