Manifesting in all hundred eons, each body manifesting with a retinue of a hundred bodhisattvas. This is said about "entering." Regarding entering the first quality, it is said to enter and arise from samadhi. Regarding the ninth quality, according to the Bodhisattva-bhumi, "Even at the end of the past and the future, one sees with wisdom for a hundred eons." It is like that. Therefore, through shaking, one causes the beings to be tamed to generate intention; through walking and appearing, one goes to the place of the beings to be tamed, sees them, and makes them ripen. Entering the end of the past and the future is to show the way of going into samsara by karma in order to separate sentient beings from sins. Opening a hundred doors of Dharma is to contemplate the meaning of the categories of Dharma in order to ripen one's own intelligence. Similarly, on the second bhumi, these qualities are twelve thousand; on the third, one hundred and twenty thousand; on the fourth, one hundred and twelve million; on the fifth, one thousand and twelve million; on the sixth, one hundred and twelve million; on the seventh, one thousand two hundred billion are obtained. On the eighth, it is equal to the dust of a hundred thousand three-thousandfold world systems; on the ninth, it is equal to the number of dust particles of countless ten million kotis of dust particles of a three-thousandfold world system; on the tenth, one obtains qualities equal to the number of dust particles of unspeakable and again unspeakable Buddha-fields. Third, regarding the manner of taking birth, there are two: birth by empowerment and birth by maturation. The first is that those who are inclined to practice are born as they wish through karma; those who have attained the bhumis are born in inferior places such as animals through aspiration; through the power of meditation, they are born in the form realm, and then reverse and are born in the desire realm, this is through samadhi; through emanation, they are born in places such as Tushita, this is birth by the power of empowerment. The second is birth by maturation, that is, those who abide on the ten bhumis mostly take birth in Jambudvipa, the four continents, the Thirty-three, Yama, Tushita, Nirmāṇarati, the king of Paranirmita-vaśavartin, Brahma the lord of a thousand, Mahabrahma the lord of the three-thousandfold world system, and the kings of the pure abode gods.

The realization of the antidote of quiescence has two aspects: the manner of realization, and the explanation of whether it is samatha or vipassana. First, the manner of realization: In the first bhumi, realizing that the dharmadhatu nature is without distinction in all continua, is for the sake of universality; in the second bhumi, realizing that its obscurations can be abandoned, is for the sake of excellence; in the third bhumi, seeking learning is a conducive condition for realizing the nature of reality, that is, knowing the conducive condition as the best of causes, is for the sake of the excellence of the conducive condition; in the fourth bhumi, craving for the Dharma is also reversed, is for the sake of not grasping the nature of reality at all; in the fifth bhumi, realizing that the nature of all self and others is the nature of reality, is for the sake of the absence of different continua; in the sixth bhumi, realizing that in the nature of dependent origination, there is no Dharma that transforms into affliction or purification, is for the sake of it not being affliction or purification; in the seventh bhumi, different characteristics of the Dharma, such as sutras, do not arise in the dharmadhatu, is for the sake of its being without difference; in the eighth bhumi, having obtained forbearance in the unborn Dharma, realizing that all purification is without decrease or increase, is for the sake of its being without decrease or increase; the afflicted mind and the consciousness of the five senses, together with their objects, have undergone transformation, so that they gradually become the state of having power over the wisdom without conceptualization of the nature of reality and the pure land; in the ninth bhumi, having obtained the four individual perfect knowledges, the nature of reality is in the state of having power over wisdom; in the tenth bhumi, manifesting as desired and accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings, realizing that the nature of reality is in the state of having power over activity. These two powers arise from the transformation of the conceptual mind consciousness. Thus, in the ten dharmadhatus, the ten obscurations of knowledge, which are non-afflicted ignorance that obscures the ten dharmadhatus, are gradually abandoned by the ten antidotes, because they are the opposing factors of those. Second, explaining whether it is samatha or vipassana has two aspects: establishing the reasonable aspect, and refuting the view that it is unreasonable. First, establishing the reasonable aspect: If asked whether those manners of realization explained in the Madhyantavibhaga are the manners of realization of samatha or vipassana, it is the manner of realization of vipassana, because the ways of leading to certainty in vipassana are different. In samatha, it is not permissible to admit that there are differences in the manner of realizing the nature of reality. If those differences exist in the nature of reality, then the nature of reality would become the nature of many parts, if not dependent on the subject
