The nine categories of afflictions to be abandoned by cultivation in the desire realm are completely eliminated. At that time, before death or near death, most will become Arhats. If the Arhat fruit is not attained, one will pass away after being born in the desire realm. If it coincides with the time when the teachings are disappearing, then in the last life, one can attain Bodhi without relying on a teacher and become a Pratyekabuddha, so even in the learning stage, the Shravaka vehicle cannot cover this. Third, the reason for determining the four fruits is: merely abandoning what is to be abandoned by the path of seeing, one becomes a Stream-enterer; in what is to be abandoned by the path of cultivation, abandoning the sixth category of what is to be abandoned by cultivation in the desire realm, one becomes a Once-returner; abandoning the ninth category, one becomes a Non-returner. Abandoning the afflictions to be abandoned by cultivation in the upper realms is to become an Arhat. Establishing two fruit positions in the desire realm is because they will pass away quickly. The way these fruits are initially obtained in which realm is stated in the Abhidharmakosha: "Three fruits are obtained in the desire realm, and the last is in the three realms." Second, explaining the meaning of the Sangha represented has five points: the basis from which it is divided, the number of how it is divided, the respective nature of the divisions, what these represent, and other special dharmas. The first is the Noble Sangha. Second, regarding the number of how it is divided. Generally, the sutras speak of forty-eight Bodhisattvas, but if the sutras and the Ornament of Realization are combined, then twenty Sanghas are cited. There are two ways to cite this: literally and non-literally. The first is that, like the fundamental words such as Buddha Shri, twenty are cited literally. The second has two: the view of the Noble Ones and the view of the teachers. These two will be explained in the third section. Third, the respective nature of the divisions. If the teachers follow the Noble Ones to explain, then there are four types: the eighth, those who pass away before attachment, the gradual ones, and the Bodhisattvas named Pratyekabuddhas. The first type, the eighth, has two types, the first being: a Bodhisattva who is in any of the first fifteen moments of the path of seeing of the path of knowledge, is of dull faculties, follows the path of faith, and is not intentionally born for the benefit of others, but due to the power of karma and merit, is born among people from among people. The second is: a sharp faculty like the previous realization, following the path of wisdom, who dies and transmigrates here from other Buddha-fields and the heavens of Tushita.

are born. Second, regarding those who have previously abandoned attachment, there are two aspects: entering and abiding. First, those who enter the state of once-returner and non-returner are those with faith and those with dull faculties of the same kind. Great Bodhisattvas, due to their lack of skill in means, practice meditation and the perfections, and are born in long-lived heavens, and from there they are born as gods and humans in the desire realm. Second, those who enter the two intermediate fruits are those who have attained insight and those with sharp faculties of the same kind. Through skillful means, they enter into meditative absorption on form, not through the power of meditation, but wherever the Buddha, the Bhagavan, resides, they will be born in those places and attain unsurpassed perfect enlightenment in this fortunate eon. Here, the four types of entrants are mixed from the perspective of faculties and counted in pairs because there is only one sutra for each of sharp and dull faculties. Second, there are two aspects to abiding in the fruit. First, the heroes of the once-returner and attainment of the two who have previously abandoned attachment, the great Bodhisattva bound by one lifetime, the meditative form
