La Gyatso Trin said. Although the direct perception of knowing others' minds also knows mental factors, it is called mind-knowing because it relies on the power of meditation at the beginning. Among the five eyes, the difference between the divine eye and the direct perception of the eye is that the former comes from previous karma and the latter comes from meditation in this life, according to Arya Simha. The Abhidharmakosha says: "The direct perceptions of the eye and ear are unspecified, the rest are virtuous." The Compendium considers all six to be of the nature of wisdom and samadhi. The eye and ear rely on the senses, and the other four rely on the mind. The third difference is that the direct perceptions of worldly people and Hearers and Solitary Realizers can only know the minds of those who are the same as themselves or inferior to themselves. However, the direct perception of completely pure Bodhisattvas can know the minds of superiors such as the Buddhas, according to the Vinayavastu. In general, the place on which direct perception relies can manifest miracles in that place and below, but not above, according to the Abhidharmakosha. The fourth boundary is that the first five direct perceptions are also common to non-Buddhists, and are present in the Great Vehicle's Path of Accumulation as appropriate. The direct perception of the exhaustion of defilements generally has characteristics in Hearers and Solitary Realizers, but this refers to the exhaustion of defilements of both obscurations, according to the commentary. The Buddha's eye and the direct perception of the exhaustion of defilements are both attained on the eighth ground, and are completely perfected and pure on the Buddha ground, according to the Pure Possession. The fifth necessity is to establish beings in the equality of Dharma, and for all noble beings to have loving-kindness, and to meet with desirable objects, and to be worthy of worship by the gods, and to receive prophecies, according to the meaning of the sutra, as stated by the Noble One. Fourth, the instruction on the cause of ultimate attainment is the instruction on the two paths of seeing and meditation. These two paths have differences in what is abandoned, but no difference in how the nature of reality is realized, just as the first and second waters of washing have no difference in terms of water, but have differences in how dirt is removed. Second, explaining in detail what is difficult to understand: When instructing on the objects of refuge, in the sutra on the Sangha Jewel, the classification of the Bodhisattva Sangha
