Moreover, since cessation is also explained as the truth of cessation in each part, it must be assumed that the nature of non-affirming negation and separate selective cessation is also the same. For example, just as a place devoid of a pot and the blocking of a pot on it are both without a pot, the suchness of the noble continuum and the blocking of what is to be abandoned by the path on it are both the truth of cessation. Therefore, the truth of cessation does not pervade suchness, and if the truth of cessation is a defining characteristic, then the seeds of what is to be abandoned by the past path must be eradicated, because it is said that the weakening of the seeds of what is to be abandoned by the worldly path is also a nominal truth of cessation, therefore suchness does not pervade the truth of cessation. Furthermore, as stated in the Uttaratantra, the nature of the mind transforming into a state free from defilements must also be considered the truth of cessation. Truth of the Path: In the Compendium, it says: 'Whatever path fully knows suffering, abandons the origin, realizes cessation, and cultivates the path, this is a brief summary of the definition of the path.' Also, there are five paths: the path of accumulation, the path of preparation, the path of seeing, the path of meditation, and the path of consummation. Following these, all five paths are considered the truth of the path. Some say that the paths of accumulation and preparation are merely the entourage of the truth of the path, and that is why they say that. In the commentary on the Compendium, it says: 'This detailed classification should also be understood in terms of the truth of the path and its entourage.' Others say that since the four qualities of the path and the aspects of purity, clarity, and antidote are not complete, the paths of no-more-learning and the paths of accumulation and preparation are the result and cause, and are not the defining characteristic of the path, therefore only the paths of seeing and meditation are the defining characteristic of the path. Saying this is also pleasing to the gods. In the commentary on the Uttaratantra, it says: 'This, according to the previously explained reasoning, is the defining characteristic of the two truths of the Tathagata, completely purified by non-arising and non-cessation, possessing a Dharma body free from desire.' Furthermore, if the conditioned phenomena realized by the Buddha are not the path, then they cannot be placed anywhere in the four truths, therefore there would be noble realizations without the four truths, and although there is no actual abandonment of what is to be abandoned at the level of the Buddha, and there is nothing higher than that, there is unobstructed power to destroy what is to be abandoned, and

Wisdom with the excellent power to liberate beings from samsara, and the unwavering accomplishment of altruistic intent. Regarding both vehicle and path, great ones have spoken of two types of going: "going by this" and "going here." Furthermore, here it is also said that the thirty-nine aspects are the truth of the path, therefore it is reasonable for the path of the non-learner to be the truth of the path. The paths of accumulation and preparation are the manifest realizations that cause each vehicle to proceed towards enlightenment, they are the yogas that realize selflessness, therefore they are the nature of the path. If it is said that they are not the path because they cannot uproot the seeds of what is to be abandoned and only measure the general characteristic of selflessness, then if that is the case, if it is manifest, then it must not be what is to be abandoned, because if it is an antidote, it must only destroy the seeds. If it is obscure, then it must be pervaded by non-realization, because realization in the manner of a general characteristic is pervaded by non-realization. Therefore, like the materialists, there is no means of valid cognition for realizing objects other than direct perception alone. Furthermore, for ordinary beings, entering the path, the practice of the union of skillful means and wisdom, and non-regression from complete enlightenment would have to arise from nothing. Second, the characteristics are: each truth has four aspects, totaling sixteen. What are they? The first truth has impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness. The second truth has cause, origin, arising, and condition. The third truth has cessation, peace, excellence, and definite emergence. The fourth truth has path, understanding, practice, and definite deliverance. The individual identifications of these sixteen are explained in the scriptures, so I will not speak of them. So, why are they established as sixteen? To counteract the views and behaviors of permanence, pleasure, self, and the view of self, the first four are in order. To counteract the views and behaviors of no cause, a single cause, change, and abandoning previous thoughts, the second four are. To counteract the views and behaviors of there is no liberation, suffering is liberation, the bliss of meditative absorption is excellent, and liberation is not permanently irreversible, the third four are. To counteract the views and behaviors of there is no path, this path is bad, others are also paths, and this path will also regress, the fourth four are.
