And they also accept the dharmas as they are, and they consider the very nature of these dharmas, which is unborn, to be the Svabhavikakaya (Tibetan: ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་སྐུ།, Sanskrit: Svābhāvikakāya, English: Essence Body). However, when explaining the scriptures, if one asks which stainless dharmas are the nature of the Svabhavikakaya, the answer is explained by the factors of enlightenment, etc. And thus, by linking the previous and subsequent scriptures, it is explained that the unborn nature of those dharmas previously explained is the Dharmakaya (Tibetan: ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ།, Sanskrit: Dharmakāya, English: Dharma Body). If the Dharmakaya is the nature of those entities possessing dharma, then it should be called Dharmata-kaya (Tibetan: ཆོས་ཉིད་ཀྱི་སྐུ།, Sanskrit: Dharmatākāya, English: Truth Body), and it is unreasonable to call it Dharmakaya. To this, they argue that in reality, it is Dharmakaya (Tibetan: ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ། Sanskrit: Dharmakāya, English: Dharma Body), that is, Dharmata-kaya (Tibetan: ཆོས་ཉིད་ཀྱི་སྐུ། Sanskrit: Dharmatākāya, English: Truth Body), but due to the combination, the factor of 'essence' is removed, and fundamentally only Kaya (Tibetan: སྐུ། Sanskrit: Kāya, English: Body) is shown. This is their view. Second, refuting this view: According to those who believe that the Dharmakaya and the Svabhavikakaya are one, it must be undoubtedly admitted that in the state of Buddhahood, and also in the subsequent attainment of the yogi who also admits it, the activities of teaching the Dharma to sentient beings through the appearance of two Rupakayas (Tibetan: གཟུགས་སྐུ།, Sanskrit: Rūpakāya, English: Form Body), and the mind and mental factors that are free from all defilements after the complete transformation of the impure pure state, and without the duality of grasper and grasped, will cease to exist, because they are not included in any of the three Kayas. If it is said that they are included in the Svabhavikakaya in a way that the entity possessing dharma and the nature of dharma are inseparable, so there is no harm, then in that case, the Sambhogakaya (Tibetan: ལོངས་སྐུ།, Sanskrit: Saṃbhogakāya, English: Enjoyment Body) and the Nirmanakaya (Tibetan: སྤྲུལ་སྐུ།, Sanskrit: Nirmāṇakāya, English: Emanation Body) will also become like that, so it will necessarily be determined that there is only one Kaya. But this is not the case, because the scriptures say there are three Kayas. If it is said that the Sambhogakaya and the Nirmanakaya are set as different Kayas in the conventional truth of the yogi, then the Kaya of non-dual wisdom should also be set as a separate Kaya like the Sambhogakaya and the Nirmanakaya, because the scriptures also say there are four Kayas. If it is said that non-dual wisdom itself includes the two Rupakayas, that is also unreasonable, because the mind and mental factors should be established as the self-appearance of the Buddha, and these two Kayas are merely other-appearances. Third, regarding the view that (the four Kayas) are distinct, arguing and answering: If there are four Kayas, then in the summary, the Dharmakaya should appear at the end of the Svabhavikakaya, but it does not appear, therefore...

If it is said that only the three bodies are reasonable, then, this is because there are three special necessities, so the Dharmakaya is spoken of at the end of the three bodies, so there is no fault. The three necessities are: in order to accomplish the benefit of others, the uncontaminated mind and mental factors that must be promised in the state of Buddhahood are not included in the other three bodies, and must be summarized in the Dharmakaya, this is to explain this point; and to avoid the defects in the rhythm in the verses of the Ornament for Clear Realization; and for the wisdom Dharmakaya itself, and to combine the two activities with the agent and the object. These explanations of the three aspects of refutation, establishment, and abandonment, which advocate the four bodies in this way, are the views of the teacher Simhabhadra. The noble Asanga only advocates the three bodies. Third, the Sambhogakaya has two: a general explanation of the nature and a detailed explanation of the qualities. First, the general explanation of the nature: the form body of the Buddha, which has the nature of the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks, is the Sambhogakaya of the Shakyamuni Buddha Bhagavan for enjoying the Mahayana Dharma. As it is said in the Prajnaparamita Sutra: "Subhuti, also this sutra is learned by the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, and after they have obtained all the dharmas, they manifest the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. In all ways, in all places, the bodies of the Tathagatas, Arhats, Samyaksambuddhas, are adorned with the thirty-two marks of a great person, adorned with the eighty minor marks, showing the unsurpassed and excellent enjoyment to all the great Bodhisattvas, making them happy, peaceful, satisfied, and extremely happy." These marks and signs are also present in the Nirmanakaya, but the actual fruit of maturation is the Sambhogakaya, and the Nirmanakaya is only its resultant fruit, because here it is said that the Nirmanakaya is an image of the Sambhogakaya. Furthermore, it is said in the Ratnavali: "All Chakravartins, although they have these marks, their purity and splendor, and brightness are not comparable to the share of all the Buddhas." The Bodhisattvas to whom the Sambhogakaya appears are said in some sutras to be only the tenth-ground Bodhisattvas, but according to the views of the teacher Simhabhadra and the glorious Chandrakirti, they are all the Bodhisattvas who abide in the ten grounds.
