When something to be grasped cannot be found, all those who grasp at emptiness will be displeased and frightened, because it is the nature of things. Therefore, those who are intelligent should not deny the conventional dependent arising, which appears like an illusion, as being nonexistent. Nor should they assert that the ultimate, which is free from all elaboration, exists and is permanent. Instead, they should learn to avoid falling into these extremes. Second, the separate explanations: In the Two Truths, it says, "Although appearances are similar, their functions differ. Because of being able to function and not being able to function, the divisions of valid and invalid conventional truths are made." Thus, conventional truth is divided into valid and invalid. Ultimate truth can also be divided into the non-conceptual ultimate, which is free from all elaboration, and the conceptual ultimate, which negates some aspects of elaboration. As it says in the same text, "That which negates birth and so forth is also in accordance with the true; therefore, I consider it to be the ultimate." This is because it operates on objects such as persons based on reasons such as being free from one and many, and therefore it is a nominal ultimate truth because it has not transcended the fabrication of conceptual thought. Alternatively, the appearances of noble beings in their post-attainment state are called valid conventional truth, while the self-appearances of hearers and those who are self-righteous are called invalid conventional truth, because they appear as grasper and grasped, but there is no clinging to the appearances, and because they exist. If it is said in this way, it will accord with the views of the teachers. This brief overview has been written according to the views of the Svātantrika school, such as the teacher Siṃhabhadra, and the detailed explanations of the Prasangika school have not been written here for the time being, because of the fear of too many words. Second, the answer to the refutation: In general, for the objections related to the ultimate truth and the objections related to the conventional truth, there are two similar and two dissimilar types of reasoning, so there are definitely four types. Among them, the similar ones are: using conventional truth as a reason to infer conventional truth, and using ultimate truth as a reason to infer ultimate truth. The dissimilar ones are: using conventional truth as a reason to infer ultimate truth, and using ultimate truth as a reason to infer conventional truth. However, they can be grouped into two

The mundane is of the same category, while the others, the ultimate and the mundane, are of different categories, both being the forward and reverse inferences respectively. The ultimate of the same category is not apprehended. For the two different categories of mundane and ultimate with aspects, for the mundane with aspects, one must answer with the ultimate; for the ultimate with aspects, one must answer with the mundane; for the two of the same category, for the mundane one must answer with the mundane, and for the ultimate one must answer with the ultimate. For example, for the objection with the ultimate aspect, the object of focus of the Madhyamaka, the subject, is not valid even in the mundane. Because in the ultimate there is no object. To this, it is valid because in the mundane there is an object. And, for the objection with the mundane aspect, reversing from the previous one, it is not valid that there is no object in the ultimate, it is valid because in the mundane the object of focus of the Madhyamaka is valid. To this, it is valid because in the ultimate, it is not valid that there is an object, and so on, one answers. For the three with the mundane aspect, not focusing on the three spheres (འཁོར་གསུམ་དུ་མི་དམིགས་པ་, चक्रत्रयनिरालम्ब, cakratrayanirālamba, not focusing on the three spheres) itself is skillful means, knowing to be free from existence and non-existence (ཡོད་མེད་དང་བྲལ་བར་མཁྱེན་པ་, अस्तिनास्तिविरहितज्ञान, astināstivirahitajñāna,knowing to be free from existence and non-existence) itself is the realization of the Sage, not discriminating on existence and non-existence. And, Bodhisattvas cultivate the three paths because they want to gather other beings of the same kind, not for themselves, so there is no fault. This is how one answers. Third, the method of generating samadhi after eliminating is: Those Bodhisattvas who strive for perfect enlightenment for the sake of others, for all the wrong conceptions that hold the two truths to be contradictory, starting from the path of accumulation, repeatedly eliminate them, thereby for the meaning of the object of focus of the Madhyamaka, a valid ascertainment free from the three of non-understanding, wrong understanding, and doubt arises, and thus generate an uninterrupted samadhi. Second, throwing the profound with that itself is: For such a way of the object of focus, it is said that objections arise continuously, this is not saying the fault of this object of focus, but because of the reason of being difficult to realize, these disputes arise, thus subtly stating its profundity, the venerable one thought this way and spoke. The realization attained by an ordinary person without attachment increases, stabilizes, and abides, on the path of a noble one without attachment, abandonment and realization are perfected, attach
