It is all-pervasive. For example, like a rabbit's horn. These things, in ultimate truth, are also free from arising from self, other, both, and without cause. This is called the non-establishment of pervasion, that is, from the Root Verses of the Middle Way: Not from self, not from other, not from both, not from no cause. Whatever things, wherever, there is never any arising. It is also said that it does not arise from self. Because it says in the same text: If cause and effect are one, the agent and action become one. Like father and son, fire and smoke, seed and sprout, etc., they would all become one. In ultimate truth, it does not arise from other. It says in the same text: If cause and effect are different, then cause and non-cause are the same. Just as the seed is considered the cause of the sprout, coal would also easily become its cause. There is no difference in just being "other," and if a special "other" is examined, it cannot be established because it is the same as what is to be proven. It does not arise from both, because there would be the fault of saying it to each one, and since the two contradict each other, it is impossible to establish. It also does not arise from no cause, because a crow could easily have the beautiful feathers of a peacock, and fire could easily have the cold nature of water. Or a peacock may not have beautiful feathers, and water may not be cold. If it arises without cause, it must exist in all places and at all times, or not exist at all. Third, the four extremes of arising and ceasing are refuted: If, in ultimate truth, existence, non-existence, both, and neither do not arise, then it is all-pervasive that the result does not truly arise. For example, like the son of a barren woman. These things, in ultimate truth, do not arise as existence, non-existence, both, or neither. As it says in the Seventy Stanzas on Emptiness: The existent does not arise because it exists, the non-existent does not arise because it does not exist, existence and non-existence are not compatible, therefore there is no arising or ceasing. This also establishes the subject-property of that syllogism. Fourth, the reasoning of dependent origination: Whatever is dependent origination, in ultimate truth, has no self-nature. For example, like an illusion. The sutra says: Whatever arises dependently, those have no self-nature at all. Second, refuting the Great Vehicle that is imputed by conceptualization, divided into two: Refuting the doctrine of those who assert real entities, refuting the doctrine of those who assert emptiness.

This is a discussion about "ground". First, it is divided into two parts: failure to identify the pervasive cause, and refutation by self-contradictory commitments. First, failure to identify the pervasive cause: Realists believe that the knowledge that the already produced defilements have been exhausted by the path, and knowing that these defilements have been exhausted in my continuum, is the knowledge of exhaustion. The knowledge that the defilements that will arise in the future will not arise through the path, and knowing that future defilements will not arise in my continuum, is the knowledge of non-arising. They believe that these two defilements are real, and they also believe that enlightenment is such a knowledge, that is, knowing exhaustion and non-arising. Therefore, the two kinds of knowledge that they believe in cannot become great enlightenment, because scriptures and reasoning have proved that defilements neither exhaust nor arise in the ultimate truth. Secondly, refutation by self-contradictory commitments, divided into: the reason for self-contradictory commitments, and the self-contradictory commitments themselves. First, it is divided into two parts: the Madhyamikas are able to completely abandon the obscurations, and the reason why the views of the realists cannot be abandoned. First, the Madhyamikas are able to rely on the four yogic positions to realize that all dharmas are the nature of suchness, free from elaboration, so that they can abandon all clinging to reality and the obscurations of knowledge. The four yogas are: First, the internal and external heretics believe that "I" is permanent, empty of arising and ceasing. If it is also empty of arising and ceasing in conventional terms, then it is not permanent, nor is it the entity of "I", just like a rabbit's horn. Therefore, the selflessness of the person is determined, and focusing on the object of innate self-grasping, determining selflessness through analysis, determining that it is only dharma through complete exclusion, and eliminating self-grasping through such meditation is the yogi who focuses on selflessness. Second, whatever is definitely perceived simultaneously is pervaded by not being different substances, like happiness and the consciousness that experiences it. The appearance of blue and the mind that grasps it are also like this. From the sign of simultaneous perception, it can be determined that the things that appear are not outside the mind of the one who makes the appearance. Therefore, the things that appear as objects, determining that they are only the mind within through complete exclusion, determining that there is no external object through analysis, and abandoning the clinging to external objects through such meditation. Third, if there is no object to be grasped, then there is no grasper, because the two are interdependent.
