O. Second, the nine antidotes to counteract conceptualizations of imputed clinging are: First, taking the example of riding a four-wheeled chariot with a pair of horses, proceeding on a level path, steering the fivefold aspects of the Mother (Prajnaparamita), and proceeding on a level path in accordance with the task at hand, is the antidote to unintentionally arising (clinging); Second, stating whether the path of Bodhisattvas and Hearers-Solitary Realizers is or is not the path of omniscience is the antidote to clinging to the path as a non-path; Third, the Mother (Prajnaparamita) does not give rise to or cease any phenomena, is the antidote to arising and ceasing; Fourth, without contemplating whether all phenomena such as form are existent or non-existent, diligently applying oneself to the Mother (Prajnaparamita), is the antidote to existent and non-existent entities; Fifth, not striving to abide in form and so forth is the antidote to conceptualizations of abiding; Sixth, taking the example of wanting to eat mangoes and not wasting their seeds, studying the six perfections of the Buddha's lineage and thereby subduing sentient beings is the antidote to the destruction of lineage; Seventh, not relying on others, purifying the field, abiding in the essence of enlightenment, wanting to turn the wheel of Dharma, studying the six perfections is the antidote to conceptualizations without seeking meaning; Eighth, taking the example of the ocean being the source of all jewels, stating that the Mother (Prajnaparamita) is the source of the realization of all noble ones is the antidote to causelessness; Ninth, taking the example of an archery teacher holding a bow that matches his skill, invincible to enemies, practicing the Mother (Prajnaparamita) is said to be unconquerable by demons and so forth, is the antidote to conceptualizations of aims of external opponents. These explanations, in general, indicate what is to be abandoned through the force of antidotes in the Sutras, and the treatises indicate antidotes through the force of what is to be abandoned. These are the antidotes explained in the Sutras. For the most part, the treatises explain the ways of clinging to what is to be abandoned, which are merely the opposite of those objects, and therefore are not actual antidotes. In essence, clinging to either of these two is what is to be abandoned. Second, antidotes on the path of seeing have two aspects: incidental and direct. First, incidental antidotes have two aspects: the companions of the peak of the path of seeing and its result. First, with what companions does the peak of the path of seeing generate the great fruit of enlightenment? The companions of the peak of the path of seeing have two aspects: taming the minds of others and taming one's own mind.

Oh! Firstly, there are two ways to tame the minds of others: establishing them in the Dharma that realizes the fruit, and establishing them in the Dharma of the cause, the scriptures. The first is to generate realizations such as the path of seeing and establish them in enlightenment through the door of scriptural teachings. The second is to teach the Dharma of the Prajnaparamita, which is the cause of that enlightenment, devoid of elaboration. Secondly, taming one's own mind: its characteristic is that it generates more merit than establishing beings in three thousand worlds in the state of Arhat; one meditates on the Prajnaparamita of the path of seeing in equipoise and teaches it to others in the post-meditation state. Secondly, the result of the path of seeing, the great enlightenment, has two aspects: showing the great enlightenment that abides in reality and refuting the great enlightenment that is imputed by conceptualization. The first has two aspects: stating the sign and establishing the subject-property. The first is that the two great vehicle knowledges that know that all defilements are exhausted and do not arise are the great enlightenment, because it is the ultimate wisdom that realizes that all defilements are primordially ceased and unborn. The second, establishing the subject-property, has two aspects: establishing through scripture and establishing through reasoning. The first, establishing through scripture, is that all defilements are primordially without arising or ceasing, because in ultimate truth, it is the nature of the Dharmadhatu free from elaboration, just as space has no arising or ceasing. The sign is established, as it says in the Madhyantavibhaga: 'Apart from the Dharmadhatu, there is no such Dharma.' The second, establishing through reasoning, is that all defilements are primordially without arising or ceasing, because in ultimate truth, there is no truly existent entity, like a lotus in the sky. There are four aspects to establishing this sign: examining the essence, being free from one and many; examining the cause, the diamond sliver; examining the result, the four extremes of arising and ceasing; the reasoning of dependent origination. First, being free from one and many is that, in ultimate truth, being free from one and many pervades selflessness. For example, like a reflection, these entities are also free from one and many. This is the non-apprehension of the pervader, as it says in the Madhyamakalankara: 'These entities spoken of by self and others, in reality, are free from the nature of one and many, therefore they are selfless, like a reflection.' Second, the diamond sliver is that whatever, in ultimate truth, does not arise from self, other, both, or without cause, its arising is true.
