It is shown that if one examines day and night with great skill, there is no inherent existence. Third, the summary of the meaning is shown by what is given through external desire. Fourth, in explaining diligence, there are two parts: briefly showing the essence and extensively explaining the nature. The first part is shown by time, place, and action. The second part, extensively explaining the nature of diligence, has four points. By 'action, laziness, self,' the opposing factors of diligence, the three types of laziness, are shown. By 'demon, ground, non-diligence,' the divisions of diligence are shown. By 'self, quick, approach, aspect,' the antidote to laziness of attachment to bad actions is shown. By 'laziness, slowness, aspect, movement,' the antidote to the other two types of laziness is shown. Fifth, regarding the perfection of meditation, there are two parts: showing the cause of accomplishing meditation and showing the actual meditation. First, regarding the cause of accomplishing meditation, there are three parts: cutting off attachment to external objects, cutting off attachment to internal sentient beings, and cutting off attachment to the five objects of desire. First, regarding cutting off attachment to external objects, there are two parts: generating joy in solitary objects and abandoning attachment to cyclic objects. First, generating joy in solitary objects has two parts. By 'forest, wilderness, viewing, signs,' generating joy in the objects of places and rocky mountains is shown. By 'joy, tree, worry, cycle,' generating joy in the objects of forests is shown. Second, regarding cutting off attachment to cyclic objects, there are three parts. By 'that, enjoyment, life, change,' it is shown as the cause of suffering in this life. By 'accumulation of aggregates, lack, bad,' it is shown as the cause of suffering in future lives. By 'deceit, wealth, use,' it is shown as the cause of suffering in all lives, this and future. Second, regarding cutting off attachment to internal sentient beings, there are three parts. By 'enemy, child, self, affliction,' the faults of being a friend to afflictions are shown. By 'glory, done, hatred, connected,' the faults of giving harm in this life are shown. By 'water, snake, fire, child,' the faults of giving harm in future lives are shown. Third, regarding cutting off attachment to the objects of desire, there are two parts: showing the faults of the objects and showing the qualities of solitude. The first has two parts. By 'object, enjoyment, life, secret,' the faults of the objects are shown. By 'what, deceives, ruin, diminish,' it is advised to distance oneself from them. Second, regarding showing the qualities of solitude, there are three parts. By 'place, trade, tax, done,' it is shown that there are no opposing factors. By 'water, rock, forest, or,' it is shown that conducive conditions are complete. By 'that, transfer, self, habit,' the benefit of being without afflictions is shown.

This is the explanation of merits. Second, the actual explanation of Samadhi has three parts: a brief explanation of Samadhi, identification of the essence, and a detailed explanation of the distinctions. First, the brief explanation is indicated by "What remains?" Second, the identification of the essence has three parts: how to meditate with a single support, the essence of Samadhi through the appearance of conceptual proliferation of the object and mind, and the explanation of the sameness of the nature of knowledge and recognition. The detailed explanation of the distinctions has two parts: a brief explanation of the categories of distinctions, and a detailed explanation of the nature of the distinctions. First, the distinction is indicated by "That distinction." Second, there are four parts: a detailed explanation of the three distinctions of Samadhi through the path of Samadhi, the path of liberation, and defilements; a detailed explanation of the distinctions of cause and effect through cause, function, and result; and a detailed explanation of the distinctions of the four Samadhis through actual Samadhi, excellence, former, and noble. This is the explanation of Samadhi, which generates the qualities of the ground without losing the essence of merit, concentration, and wisdom. Sixth, the Perfection of Wisdom has three parts: identification of the essence of wisdom, explanation of the order of practice, and a detailed explanation of the three wisdoms. First, the identification of the essence has two parts: identifying the essence of the three wisdoms through higher concentration, reality, hearing, and knowledge; and explaining their qualities through afflictions, existence, giving, and excellence. Second, the order of practice is indicated by "That hearing, thought." Third, the detailed explanation of the three wisdoms has three parts: explaining the wisdom of hearing, explaining the wisdom of thinking, and explaining the wisdom of meditation. First, the explanation of the wisdom of hearing has two parts: explaining the nature of the measuring precious key, and explaining the nature of the measured treasury of the sacred Dharma. First, there are two parts: a brief explanation and a detailed explanation. First, the brief explanation is indicated by "Measuring straight." Second, the detailed explanation has three parts: explaining the two, straight and not straight; explaining the two, intention and hidden; and explaining the difference between intention and hidden. First, there are three parts: the definitive meaning through the aspects of Dharma, the provisional meaning through the understanding of Dharma, and a summary explanation of their meaning through the knowledge of both. Second, explaining the two, intention and hidden, has three parts: the necessity of explaining the two, the one with necessity, and the hidden intention. First, it is indicated by "That meaning." Second, there are two parts: generally explaining the basis of intention through a little intention, taming one, etc.; and specifically explaining the basis of intention through equal meaning, when, etc. Third, explaining hidden intention has five parts: hidden intelligence, those terms.
