Accordingly, it is said in the scripture: 'When the consciousness does not waver, abide in the clear light of sleep.' What appears here is that only in the reliable treatises of the great accomplished ones are the four emptinesses of sleep explained, as well as how to hold onto the clear light. Such teachings do not appear anywhere else. Therefore, one must understand it as explained here. Among them, 'aggregates, etc.' refers to the appearance of the coarse aggregates, etc. 'Subtle realm' refers to the time when the three elements of earth, water, and fire dissolve one after the other, and finally fire dissolves into wind. Then, wind dissolves into the consciousness of the first appearance, which is called 'entering the mind,' and the mind is the first emptiness. 'In the mind' refers to the increase of appearance, and 'entering' refers to the consciousness dissolving into it. Ignorance is the near attainment. Combining it in this way refers to combining or mixing the three emptinesses of sleep with the near attainment. The recognition of them, as the meaning collected and explained from the 'Wisdom Vajra Collection,' as described in the 'Conduct Collection,' has already been clearly explained. 'At this time' refers to the time of sleep. 'The three minds completely enter' refers to the former entering the latter. The moment of the third of these three is when memory is lost. 'Afterwards' refers to after the near attainment. 'No forgetting' refers to when waking up from a state of thick unconsciousness, like the sky at dawn revealing its true color, nothing else appears except for that. Here, in 'Cessation Transformation,' it says: 'When liberated, the wind stirs up its nature. If other dreams do not arise, then as long as the consciousness does not waver, abide in the clear light.' Saying this is good. Its meaning is that the samadhi of clear light is liberated, becomes relaxed, and when rising, the wind stirs up the conceptual thoughts of its nature, thereby manifesting dreams. If the manifestation of dreams does not arise, then as long as one does not waver from the clear light, one should abide in the clear light. Therefore, the clear light is not controlled by the power of wind. For those who can generate sleep samadhi, the three emptinesses mentioned earlier, which must appear before the clear light of sleep, will not appear. If these three emptinesses do not appear, even if a clear and lucid sleep samadhi arises, there is no meaning to the clear light of sleep. Moreover, before the first emptiness, only appearances similar to mirages and smoke, etc., which are similar but not exactly the same, may appear, but they will not appear clearly and stably. Therefore, there are two types of clear light of sleep: the clear light of experience and realization, and two types of clear light: thin and thick, as well as the time of dreams.

Furthermore, although many methods appear for clearly manifesting the Samadhi of non-conceptuality and abiding in the clear light of sleep, it seems that many have expounded it merely on the basis of being able to transform sleep into Samadhi without distinguishing it clearly as previously explained. Therefore, it does not seem reliable. So, regarding the clear light of both waking and sleeping states, whether it is the true clear light or the apparent clear light, one should rely on the treatises of the noble father and sons (Maitreya and Asanga) to distinguish them well. This should be regarded as an extremely precious instruction. If one tries to abide in the clear light as much as possible, but cannot abide due to the disturbance of the winds, then the special method of rising in dreams should be learned from the instructions of the Guhyasamaja of the Marpa tradition. Transference and entering [another] body, a branch of the path Secondly, regarding transference and entering [another] body, a branch of the path, there are two parts: transference upwards and entering [another] body. Transference upwards Firstly, this instruction on transferring consciousness upwards (transference of consciousness) is a great characteristic of the tantras of Highest Yoga. This is also explained in the common explanatory tantra of both Hevajra and Samvara, the Sambuta Tantra, and the uncommon explanatory tantras of Samvara, the Vajra Dakini Tantra, the Sri Cakrasamvara Tantra and the Samvarodayatantra, the root tantra of the Vajrasana-catuh-tantra, and the oral instructions of the venerable Manjushri, etc. Therefore, if one wants to know the instruction on transference well, one must carefully arrange these tantras and their special commentaries and know the essential points. The benefit of this path is stated in the Vajra Dakini Tantra: 'Killing a Brahmin every day, committing the five heinous crimes, stealing, plundering, and engaging in desire, this path also purifies them, does not stain with sins, and goes far from the faults of existence.' Apart from some differences in wording, the Yogasamuccaya and the Vajrasana-catuh-tantra also say the same. Therefore, this is very important and one must strive for it. The purification and liberation spoken of by this path, as explained in Manne and others, is liberation from the lower realms and purification of the sins of being born there. Regarding the time to apply transference to practice, the Vajra Dakini Tantra says: 'When the time comes, one should transfer consciousness; if not, one will kill the deities. Just by killing the deities, one will surely be burned in hell. Therefore, the wise should diligently know the signs of death.' The Vajrasana-catuh-tantra and the Yogasamuccaya also say the same. Therefore, if one transfers consciousness at an inappropriate time, it is like killing the deities who are said to be oneself. If one has vows --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
