The four transfers of death and entering a body, Based on this, it arises as it is. The supreme teachings of the great accomplished ones, Tilopa and Naropa, Are known as the glorious Six Dharmas of Naropa. In this land of snows, for limitless fortunate ones, Granting the supreme feast of the profound Vajrayana. This teaching is due to the power of great merit from the past. Controlling the vast world, Holding the Three Jewels as the crown ornament, The king with the name 'Fame', And his brother, with vast wisdom, See the very essence of the scriptural teachings. Rich with gatherings of profound realization, The Dharma Lord with the name 'Merit', With many precious gold pieces, Offering a mandala and urging, And furthermore, for this good path, There is very much devotion. Thinking that it will benefit others, Therefore, I have strived to compose this. The method of cultivation is clear and concise, Each understanding is clear and easy to understand, And it is connected to the scriptures with unwavering faith. These three are the characteristics of this text. The profound places are difficult to see, The eyes of ordinary people are weak. Therefore, whatever faults there may be, May the heroes and dakinis forgive. May all beings enter the unsurpassed vehicle through the merit of good speech, And may this good path flourish. This is the order of guidance through the profound path of the Six Dharmas of Naropa, called 'Possessing Three Faiths'. It was written at the urging of the great king 'Fame' Banner, and with the repeated instructions of the Dharma Lord 'Merit' Banner, to ensure that the essential points such as inner heat are clearly presented, and to slightly differentiate, separating the common and uncommon aspects. Furthermore, although this tradition has been very influential in this region, it is not very prosperous now, but there are many who are very fond of it, driven by the pure intention to benefit them, by the learned monk and hermit, Tsongkhapa Lobsang Drakpa, at Drepung Monastery, the Glorious Victorious Isle. The scribe was Kachuwa Rinchen Pal. May virtue and goodness increase! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
