Close to the surface of the spine, in the center is the central channel (Tibetan: རྩ་ཨ་བ་དྷཱུ་ཏཱི།), on the right is the Rōma channel (Tibetan: རོ་མ།), and on the left is the Kyangma channel (Tibetan: རྐྱང་མ།). These three channels, like the axis of life for the four chakras, extend upwards to the crown of the head. As mentioned earlier, visualize the Rōma and Kyangma channels curving into the central channel. Meditating in this way is to infuse life force into the central channel. Because of not understanding the necessity of meditation, some think that the three channels disappear four fingers below the navel, and some think that the Rōma and Kyangma channels end there, but that is not the case. They extend downwards to the tip of the jewel and so on, and upwards they lead to the center below the eyebrows and to the left and right of the root of the nose. In the center of each chakra, the Rōma and Kyangma channels wrap around the central channel to form a knot, and then straighten upwards again. The thickness of the channels varies during meditation and non-meditation, so it cannot be determined. In terms of color, when the inner heat blazes from the central channel, it will appear like the color of a sesame oil lamp, which is the meaning of the union tantra, explained in the 'Ear of Whispered Instructions'. But before that, when meditating, visualize the right side as red, the left side as white, and the center as blue. Next, clearly visualize the four chakras: The navel chakra (Tibetan: ལྟེ་བ།, Sanskrit: Nabhi-cakra, Romanized Sanskrit: Nabhi-cakra, Literal meaning: Navel Wheel) is the Nirmāṇakāya chakra (Tibetan: སྤྲུལ་བའི་འཁོར་ལོ།), with an outer shape of an inverted triangle (Tibetan: ཨེ་གྲུ་གསུམ།), the number of petals is sixty-four, the color is red, and the opening faces upwards. Here only the rough number of petals is mentioned, without detailed explanation, so it will not be elaborated here either. The heart chakra (Tibetan: སྙིང་ག།, Sanskrit: Hridaya-cakra, Romanized Sanskrit: Hridaya-cakra, Literal meaning: Heart Wheel) is the Dharma chakra (Tibetan: ཆོས་ཀྱི་འཁོར་ལོ།), with an outer shape of a circle (Tibetan: བཾ་ཡིག), the number of petals is eight, the color is white, and the opening faces downwards. The throat chakra (Tibetan: མགྲིན་པ།, Sanskrit: Vishuddha-cakra, Romanized Sanskrit: Vishuddha-cakra, Literal meaning: Purification Wheel) is the Sambhogakāya chakra (Tibetan: ལོངས་སྤྱོད་ཀྱི་འཁོར་ལོ།), with an outer shape of a circle (Tibetan: བཾ་ཡིག), the number of petals is sixteen, the color is red, and the opening faces upwards. The crown chakra (Tibetan: སྤྱི་བོ།, Sanskrit: Ushnisha-cakra, Romanized Sanskrit: Ushnisha-cakra, Literal meaning: Crown Wheel) is the Mahasukha chakra (Tibetan: བདེ་ཆེན་གྱི་འཁོར་ལོ།), with an outer shape of an inverted triangle (Tibetan: ཨེ་གྲུ་གསུམ།), the number of petals is thirty-two, the color is multi-colored, and the opening faces downwards. Visualize each pair of chakras as a combination of skillful means and wisdom. First, clearly visualize the three channels. After they are clear, focus the mind on them, gathering the clear appearance of the channels and the mind abiding there. It is crucial to focus on the central channel where the three channels converge. Based on this, clearly visualize the number of petals of each chakra and focus the mind on them. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

必须只在dhūti(梵文:dhūti)中观想。

If you practice, the pulse petals will become clearer, and if you can focus on that, then do it. If you cannot clearly visualize the petals no matter what, then focus on the three main channels themselves. For this, visualize it clearly in the heart center for a short time, and do not focus on small thoughts for a long time, otherwise there is a danger of creating obstacles. Therefore, most of the time, focus diligently on the confluence of the three main channels. In this method, although there are two possibilities regarding whether the clarity of the pulse can be sustained, it is better to do it as in the former case, because the writings of the great accomplished Lāwapa state that one should practice the clarity of the pulse. In this case, if you want to control the breath, do it as described before. Do not mix this method with the practice of tummo, tsalung, and tongra, as will be understood in the following chapters. Second, clearly visualize the letters and practice: When practicing tummo, clearly visualize the four chakras. Practicing by arranging letters on the three channels, the four chakras, and their respective locations is the view of the Vajra (Sanskrit: vajra) of the Root Tantra (Tibetan: རྩ་རྒྱུད།) and the Saṃbhuṭa (Sanskrit: saṃbhuṭa) of the Explanatory Tantra (Sanskrit: vyākhyātantra), and many great accomplished ones such as Kṛṣṇācārya have also said this. There are two ways to arrange the letters, elaborate and concise. The elaborate way is to visualize the letters on both the center and the petals of the chakra, but the key instructions for this method are not clear. The concise way is to visualize four letters in the center of the four chakras, which is clear in the Explanatory Tantra and also appears in the writings of many great accomplished ones. Therefore, it is not good to only visualize the short A (Tibetan: ཨ་ཐུང་, Sanskrit: a-kāra, Romanized Sanskrit: a-kara, literal meaning: A-syllable) at the navel chakra or only the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཾ་, Sanskrit: hūṃ, Romanized Sanskrit: hum, literal meaning: Hum-syllable) at the crown chakra; it is also necessary to visualize the letters at the heart and throat chakras, because this is very important. The method of practice is: the body posture, etc., is the same as before. The location for visualizing the short A is: the central channel in the center of the navel chakra, close to the inner side of the spine. One must visualize only there. The method of visualizing there is: on a small moon disc, there is a Tibetan letter short A, similar to the Tibetan letter "ཨ་" with a vertical line. Visualize this short A-like letter, standing upright, with a red color. When visualizing the letter at the heart chakra, the location for visualization is: the central channel in the center of the eight-petaled Dharma wheel, directly above the middle of the two breasts, close to the spine. One must visualize only in the dhūti (Sanskrit: dhūti). The method of visualizing is: there, on a moon disc, there is a blue Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Sanskrit: hūṃ, Romanized Sanskrit: hum, literal meaning: Hum-syllable) letter, head facing down, visualizing the bodhicitta dripping like snow. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
