Grakpa Yeshe says in the commentary on the 'Four Seats Tantra', 'the nature of the earth'. If you look at the words of the tantra, it seems that the rays of the Lama's body are visualized as the nature of secret Yakshas and so on. This is a special feature mentioned in the Lama Yoga Tantra. Second, the prohibition of disrespect towards shadows etc.: 'Fearing the sin of destroying stupas, one should not even step on shadows, let alone shoes, cushions and mounts.' It is said that destroying a stupa is said to be close to an unforgivable sin, and stepping on the shadow of a Lama is similar to this sin, so fearing this sin, one should not even step on shadows, let alone shoes etc. The first chapter of the 'Net of Illusion' says: 'One should not step on its shadow, it is said to be like destroying a stupa.' Just as these two sins are the same, the 'Vajra Heart Ornament', 'Vajra Dakini' and 'Four Seats Tantra' also say so. The faults of these are mentioned in the eighth chapter of the 'Tent Chapter': 'The Lama's umbrella and shadow, and the shoes, cushions and pillows worn, if a foolish person steps on them, this person will fall into the razor hell.' The thirty-second chapter of the 'Vajra Dakini' also says: 'The teacher's bedding and, shoes, umbrella and clothes etc., all nearby enjoyments, and shadows should not be stepped on, nor should they be argued with. If done, at all times, he will always be tormented, lose meaning, and be far from glory.' If situations arise where stepping is not allowed, then according to the 'Vinaya Sutra - Housing Matters': 'For the sake of the Dharma, sweeping, washing the face, cleaning the room, and the shadows of Buddha images and, stupas and life pillars, one should recite the verses of the monastery and step on them.' These reasons should be compared. The method of being without sin in the way of mantra, will be asked in the explanation of proclaiming vows. Third, executing commands: 'The great wise one with a joyful heart, diligently listens to the Lama's commands. If reason cannot do it, then persuade oneself with words. From the Lama one obtains accomplishments, as well as high status and happiness. Therefore, with all effort, one should not disobey the Lama's commands.' It is said. The great wise one, that is, the disciple with great wisdom, should diligently listen to and execute the commands of his Lama, that is, the teachings. Even if unwilling, one should do so. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One should do it with a very joyful and grateful heart. So, is it necessary to carry out all the instructions of the guru? If the instruction is in accordance with the Dharma, but one cannot do it no matter what, then for the instruction that cannot be done, one should clearly explain the reason why it cannot be done with words, and there is no fault even if it is not carried out. If something can be done rationally, but is not done because it is unreasonable and not in accordance with the Dharma, then one should explain the reason as before and not do it. As Jampal Drakpa said in the 'Essence Ornament' of the 'General Ritual of All Secrets': 'For words involving non-virtuous actions, ask for forgiveness and remain neutral.' The 'Vinaya Sutra' also says: 'If one speaks of things that are not in accordance with the Dharma, one should stop them.' The 'Cloud of Jewels Sutra' also says: 'For virtuous Dharma, one should act in accordance with it; for non-virtuous Dharma, one should act in discordance with it.' Therefore, if one is strongly urged to do things that contradict the three vows, one should not do them. However, one should not use this as an excuse to generate distrust or criticism. For all the Dharma-abiding instructions of the guru that are not of this kind, one should strive with all effort not to transgress them, because the supreme and common attainments, as well as the happiness of gods and humans and the well-being closely related to them, are obtained from the guru. Moreover, the guru's words are the main gateway through which blessings enter the disciple's mind, so one should not deviate from that state. The latter verses are excerpted from the 'Moon Secret Bindu'. The faults of transgressing the guru's instructions are stated in the eighth chapter of the 'Vajramala Tantra': 'At that time, even the supreme disciple who has received empowerment, if he transgresses the guru's instructions, will suffer in this world and go to hell in the next.' The way to achieve the two attainments from the guru is also stated in the fifteenth chapter of the 'Vajramala Tantra': 'The teacher who guides beings, praised by all the Buddhas, is our (disciples') father and mother, and should be remembered in this way.' Why? Because the Tathagatas have said: Vajrasattva (རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས་དཔའ།,वज्रसत्त्व,vajrasattva,Diamond Being), Buddha (སངས་རྒྱས།,बुद्ध,buddha,Awakened One), Vajradharma (རྡོ་རྗེ་ཆོས།,वज्रधर्म,vajradharma,Diamond Dharma), splendor (གཟི་བརྗིད།,तेजस्,tejas,Splendor), the attainment of the Horse King (རྟ་ཡི་རྒྱལ་པོ།,हयराज,hayarāja,Horse King), because of him (the guru) it is not difficult. Eye medicine and swift feet, sword and underground, pills and flying in the sky, invisibility and taking essence, because he (the guru) pleases Vajradhara (རྡོ་རྗེ་འཛིན་པ།,वज्रधर,vajradhara,Vajra Holder), so one quickly obtains them. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
