After listening to and understanding the Dharma, in order to dispel doubts, especially regarding Madhyamaka and Tantra, particularly regarding Guhyasamaja and Cakrasamvara, he decided to go to India. He planned to consult with sages such as Nagarjuna at places like Odantapuri and Nalanda. Together with about thirteen disciples, he made judgments by observing signs and dreams. If aspiration and dependent origination were combined, a path could be opened from Gnyal to Lhodrak. Starting from Shing gi ri in India, he met the accomplished Mitrajoki and planned to go to Magadha. When he went to Lhodrak, he met the great accomplished Phyagdor Namkhagyaltsen. Phyagdor Namkhagyaltsen said that if he went to India, although he would become a great pandit proficient in the eighteen sciences and become the abbot of Vajrasana, his life would be short and it would be difficult to benefit his disciples. Therefore, it would be better to stay in Tibet and pray to Manjushri, who would quickly take him under his care. Then, Phyagdor Namkhagyaltsen transmitted to him the oral instructions and lineages he possessed, especially the Kadam teachings such as the Lamrim, as well as the practices of Vajrapani, including its completion stage. After that, he went to Tshul Gnyal. He studied Vinaya, Abhidharma, Madhyamaka, and other aspects of exoteric teachings from Kawa Zhipa Chokyi Sangpo, as well as all the teachings of the Kadam school, and also heard and mastered many other Dharmas. While practicing Manjushri at Gnyal Serphye Gang, he directly saw Manjushri, resolved many difficult points in the scriptures, and generated a special Madhyamaka view. At that time, he praised Shakyamuni Buddha through dependent origination and composed a song of realization, reaching the peak of realization. After that, he stayed in indefinite places such as Drigung and Nyangpo, focusing only on practice, and occasionally taking short breaks. Later, at Namtseder, three scholars turned the wheel of Dharma there. In Gagdong, Tsondu Sengge, an accomplished Madhyamaka practitioner of Manjushri, also known as Pawo Dorje, acted as a translator between Je Rinpoche and Manjushri, dispelling countless doubts about Tantra, exoteric teachings, and practical aspects, and generating special conviction. Therefore, people say that Je Rinpoche's school is the school of Manjushri. In addition, through Pawo Dorje, Manjushri only transmitted the teaching and listening of exoteric teachings, as well as the initiation, lineage, and teaching of Tantra, and the sole practice of meditation and practice. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What are the benefits of propagating the teachings? How should I do it? In which pure land will I be reborn in the future? In particular, which has a closer connection, Sukhavati (the Pure Land of Amitabha) or Tushita (the Pure Land of Maitreya)?' And so on, he inquired about all the aspirations of this life and the next, and received clear answers. In particular, he was instructed to propagate the teachings through both Sutra and Tantra, and not to perform empowerment initiations, as it would lead to a short life, distance from accomplishments, and reduce the benefits to the teachings. Therefore, the reason why Je Rinpoche (Tsongkhapa) never gave empowerments during his lifetime, except for occasional permissions, was this. After that, he stayed at Radreng Monastery together with Lochen Palzang. Lochen taught Madhyamaka (the Middle Way) and so on, and Je Rinpoche taught Lamrim (Stages of the Path) and so on. In particular, at Gong-ga Monastery, in front of the famous Jowo statue, he prayed for many days and personally saw all the Kadam lineage masters from Thubpa (Shakyamuni Buddha) to Namkha Gyaltsen, especially Jowo Je (Atisha), Dromtonpa, Potowa, Sharawa, etc., for a month, and received many teachings and instructions. Eventually, Potowa and the other two merged into the Jowo statue. Atisha placed his hand on Tsongkhapa's head and said, 'Propagate the teachings widely, and I will help you attain enlightenment and benefit sentient beings.' Then he disappeared. Many such wonderful sights occurred. After that, Khenchen Zulpuwa, Lochen Kyabchok Palzang, Drikung Chosje, and most of the great scholars and famous figures of U-Tsang (Central Tibet) earnestly requested him to write a Lamrim (Stages of the Path) of Sutra. Combining the auspicious signs mentioned above, the conditions were complete, and he wrote the Lamrim Chenmo (Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path). Many of the white-sided local deities of U-Tsang, such as Nyenchen Tanglha, Shola Gyukpo, etc., prostrated to him with respectful body, speech, and mind, saying, 'We are the protectors of the Dharma of Padmasambhava and Jowo Je, etc. Now we will accomplish the favorable conditions for you, please accept us with compassion.' Therefore, in the dedication at the end of the Lamrim Chenmo, he said: 'May all beings, human and non-human, who accomplish the favorable conditions for practicing the excellent path and dispel obstacles, never be separated from the pure path praised by the Buddhas in all lifetimes.' Furthermore, at the request of Drikung Chosje and others, he also wrote many works there, such as the commentary on the 'Fifty Verses on the Guru' (Lama Ngapa Chupe Namshé). After that, in Nyangpo... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
