Homage to the Gurus). Jetsun Tsongkhapa, the all-knowing one, whose name is difficult to pronounce, the glory of Lobsang Drakpa (藏文:བློ་བཟང་གྲགས་པ,汉语字面意思:Wise Fame) was born in Malgye, Tsongkha in the east. His parents were full of faith and bodhicitta, and diligent in practicing the holy Dharma. At the end of the Monkey year, the father dreamed that a monk who claimed to have come from Mount Wutai in China, holding a garland of flowers, wearing a Dharma robe that looked like leaves from the thirty-third heaven, and a yellow silk shamthab, carrying a book, came and said, 'I am here to borrow a place from you.' Then he went into a chapel on the roof. The father was reciting only the name, so he thought it was an emanation of Manjushri. In the mother's dream, in a field of flowers, a thousand women were lined up, and she was sitting among them. From the east came a white boy holding a vase, and from the west came a red girl holding a peacock feather (about the size of a palm) in her right hand and a large mirror in her left hand. The two of them consulted and asked all the women, 'Is this one okay? Is this one okay?' The boy asked the girl, and the girl pointed out flaws in each of the others. Then she pointed to the mother and asked, 'Is this one okay?' The girl smiled and said, 'Okay.' The boy said, 'Then you bathe her.' And so on, they bathed her with songs, cleansing her body of impurities and giving her a feeling of ease. When she woke up, she felt light in body and happy in mind, and many other good omens appeared. She wondered what they meant. From that time on, neighbors and villagers dreamed that many monks were bringing Jowo Rinpoche (藏文:ཇོ་བོ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ,汉语字面意思:Precious Lord) from the center of Tibet. Others dreamed that the sun, moon, and stars appeared at the same time, and during the day there was a rain of flowers, the scent of incense, the sound of music in the sky, and the earth shook. Many miraculous signs appeared together in that place, and these auspicious signs were known throughout Tibet. Then, on the night of the tenth day of the first month (藏文:ཟླ་བ་དང་པོ,汉语字面意思:first month) of the Bird year, the mother dreamed... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Countless monks and nuns, along with innumerable male and female devotees, holding flags and drums, and various other musical instruments, were said to be preparing to welcome the arrival of Avalokiteśvara (the Bodhisattva of Compassion). I looked in all directions but saw nothing. Looking back, I saw above the clouds a golden statue as large as a mountain, its rays shining like the sun in all directions, accompanied by the sound of Dharma, surrounded by many richly adorned gods and goddesses, descending slowly. The golden statue became smaller and smaller, and when it reached just above my head, it transformed into a beautiful statue about the height of a span, and merged into my body. I saw that the attendants and welcomers also merged into myself. I dreamed of receiving prostrations, circumambulations, and offerings, as well as auspicious blessings. From the outside to the inside, my consciousness became clear, and I felt immense joy. From then on, even when not observing or contemplating, I felt that I should not despise or defile my body, and I naturally began to pay attention to cherishing and cleansing it. In the father's dream, Vajrapani (藏文:ཕྱག་ན་རྡོ་རྗེ།) (Sanskrit: वज्रपाणि, Vajrapāṇi, 'Vajra-holder') from Willow Palace (藏文:ལྕང་ལོ་ཅན།) threw a burning golden vajra (藏文,梵文天城体:वज्र,梵文罗马拟音:Vajra,汉语字面意思:diamond/thunderbolt), which merged into the mother's body. Therefore, they discussed whether she would give birth to a strong son. When the time of birth approached, the mother dreamed of a large crowd of monks and nuns carrying five kinds of offerings, saying they were going to visit the temple. When she asked where the temple was, the white boy from before held a crystal key and said, 'It's here.' Then he opened a small yellow door on his chest and took out the golden statue that had merged into her body before. However, the golden statue seemed to be slightly stained with dirt. At this time, the girl from before appeared, bathed the golden statue with water from a vase, wiped it with peacock feathers, chanted many 'dardi' sounds that seemed to be in an Indian language, and offered offerings to the deity. Upon waking up, at dawn, when Venus rose, she gave birth easily. At that time, there was a great lama in that place, endowed with vast qualities of sutra and mantra, and especially accomplished in the practice of Vajrabhairava Vajra-terrifier). His name was Dondrup Rinchen. He intended to send gifts, nectar pills, protection cords, and arrange auspicious connections, so he sent a virtuous attendant with a blessed painting of Vajrabhairava and a letter on how to raise the child. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
