Of the arrogant ones, the state of peaceful meditative absorption, extremely peaceful and endowed with bliss, is the supreme of all, without anything higher. Although birds dwell in the sky, they do not fall. Although fish dwell in the water, they do not die agitated. Likewise, Bodhisattvas, with the power of pure meditative absorption, reach the other shore, the abode of emptiness, and do not pass into sorrow. The virtues of all sentient beings, progressing to the supreme, and the Buddha's wisdom, supremely wondrous, supremely experiential, and the giving of Dharma, supremely excellent, whoever desires to give excellently, the supreme abode of benefactors, rely on this. This discipline is the guiding discipline, fully proclaimed, the supreme of all disciplines, without anything higher. Whoever is a wise one desiring to go to the other shore of all disciplines, should study here in this Buddha's discipline, the Perfection of Wisdom. This is the supreme treasure of Dharma, the excellent treasury of Dharma. It is the Buddha's lineage, the treasury of happiness and well-being for beings. The past and future protectors of the ten directions of the world, although they arise from this, the Dharmadhatu does not diminish. All the trees, fruits, flowers, and forests, all of them truly arise and emerge from the earth. Yet, the earth has no depletion nor increase. It is completely undiminished, non-conceptual, without weariness. Buddha's sons, Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, gods, and all the happiness and well-being of all beings, all of them arise from the supreme Perfection of Wisdom. Wisdom also has no depletion nor increase. All sentient beings, inferior, middling, and superior, all of them arise from ignorance, as declared by the Sugata. When conditions gather, the wheel of suffering intensely arises. The wheel of ignorance has no end and no increase. All the ways of wisdom, methods, and roots, all of them arise from the supreme Perfection of Wisdom. When conditions gather, the wheel of wisdom intensely arises. The Perfection of Wisdom has no end and no increase. Whichever Bodhisattva, regarding dependent origination, knows this wisdom as unborn and undying, like the sun without clouds, radiating light and dispelling darkness, having destroyed the darkness of ignorance, will attain self-arising. Those endowed with great power, even abiding in the four dhyanas, are not relying, nor are they abiding, but

These four meditations with limbs will become the support for attaining the supreme and excellent Bodhi. Those who have attained the supreme wisdom and abide in these meditations will also experience the four excellent formless absorptions. These meditations are beneficial for the supreme and excellent Bodhi. Bodhisattvas do not train for the sake of exhausting defilements. This is a wonderful and rare thing about qualities and so on. Abiding in meditation and samadhi, there are no characteristics. Those who abide in them, if their bodies are destroyed, will also be reborn in the desire realm as they wish. For example, if a person from Jambudvipa has never been to the heavenly realm before, but goes there later, sees all the places that are fully enjoyed there, and then returns here, he will not be attached. Similarly, a Bodhisattva who possesses excellent qualities, diligently practices yoga, abides in meditation and samadhi, and then abides in the desire realm again, but has no attachment. Like a lotus in water, he does not abide in the ways of children. The great being only works to fully ripen all sentient beings, purify the fields, and perfect the perfections. Because the qualities of Bodhi and the perfections will change, he does not seek to be born in the formless realm. For example, if a person finds a treasure of jewels, he does not generate a desire for them, but he will take them all at another time, and after taking them, he will go home and not be attached. Similarly, a wise and joyful Bodhisattva, having obtained the four peaceful meditations and samadhis that bestow bliss, having the meditation, gives up the meditation and samadhi, and with compassion for beings, enters the desire realm again. If a Bodhisattva abides in meditation and samadhi, and generates the desire for the vehicle of Arhats and Pratyekabuddhas, then he is not equally abiding, but is agitated and distracted, and like a broken boat, he will lose all the qualities of the Buddha. Furthermore, even if he is very diligent in the five objects of desire, such as form, sound, smell, taste, and touch, if the Bodhisattva is happy to be free from the vehicle of Arhats and Pratyekabuddhas, then he should know that the hero is always in equipoise. Any sentient being who has a pure intention for himself and others, diligently practices the perfection of diligence. For example, a maidservant's water pot involuntarily belongs to the master.
