Thus, the initial mind is also the cause of enlightenment. However, it is not that there is no enlightenment in cessation. Having obtained the seed, grains and rice, etc., arise. Its fruit is in it, neither existent nor non-existent. The enlightenment of the Buddhas, this arises. Because it is devoid of the nature of things, illusion arises. Like a water droplet gradually filling a vase from beginning to end. Likewise, the initial mind is also the cause of supreme enlightenment. Gradually perfecting white qualities, one becomes a fully enlightened Buddha. Practicing Dharma in emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness. Not touching Nirvana, not practicing in signs. For example, a wise and learned person goes back and forth. Not abiding in the two extremes, like abiding in the ocean where there is nowhere to abide. A Bodhisattva who practices in this way should think like this. Predicted by the ten powers, having attained enlightenment, there is no arrogance. In this, there is nothing, so there is no fear of enlightenment. Practicing in this way is the wisdom practice of the Sugatas. In the path of the protector of the world and in famine and disease. Having seen, not being afraid, and then putting on armor. Always striving for the ultimate limit of the future, and after knowing well. In the mind of complete renunciation, not generating even a speck of dust. When a Bodhisattva practices the wisdom of the Buddhas, he knows that these aggregates are empty from the beginning and unborn. Not abiding in equanimity, compassion arises for the realm of sentient beings. Even in the meantime, one does not degenerate from the Buddha's Dharma. For example, a wise person who possesses all qualities. Powerful, invincible, diligent, knowing the rituals of magic. Having gone beyond the many arts such as throwing and craftsmanship. Skilled in performing illusions, one who can extremely accomplish the benefit of beings. Gathering all relatives including father, mother, and wife. Going to a solitary path where there are no enemies. He, with courage and perseverance, conjures up a non-existent person. Going happily and returning home again. Likewise, at that time, the wise Bodhisattva is also like that. With great compassion for all sentient beings. Having completely transcended the four Maras and the two grounds. Abiding in supreme Samadhi, not allowing enlightenment to touch. In the sky, the wind relies, and on it, the aggregate of water relies. On it, this great earth relies, and on it, beings rely. Sentient beings rely on karma.

The cause of desire is like this. Think about this meaning: in which emptiness does it reside? Likewise, the Bodhisattva who abides in emptiness itself, based on the aspiration to know sentient beings for the sake of beings. Showing countless hundreds of thousands of forms, not touching this sorrow, not dwelling in emptiness. When the Bodhisattva is wise and clear, practicing this supreme meditation of emptiness and peace. At this moment, do not excessively meditate on signs. Abiding in signlessness, practice peace and extreme peace. A bird flying in the sky has no dwelling. It does not dwell there, nor will it fall to the ground. Likewise, the Bodhisattva practices the door of liberation, not touching sorrow, not practicing in signs. For example, a person trained in archery shoots an arrow into the sky, and other arrows are successively attached in a continuous line. The opportunity for the first arrow to fall to the ground cannot be found. If that person desires, that arrow will fall to the ground. Likewise, practicing the supreme Prajnaparamita, discerning with wisdom, skillful means, power, and miraculous abilities. Until those roots of virtue are not perfected, one will not attain that supreme emptiness. For example, a Bhikshu with supreme miraculous power, dwelling in the sky, simultaneously manifests various kinds of miracles. Showing walking, standing, sleeping, and sitting, he does not get weary, nor is he fatigued. Likewise, the wise Bodhisattva dwells in emptiness, not dwelling on the other shore of wisdom and miraculous powers. Showing limitless actions to beings, he does not get weary or fatigued in countless eons. For example, some people sit on a great cliff, holding two umbrellas in both hands, and jump into the sky. Abandoning the body on the great cliff, they will not fall. As long as they wish, they can walk there. Likewise, the wise Bodhisattva dwells in compassion, completely holding the two umbrellas of skillful means and wisdom. Contemplating all phenomena as empty, signless, and without aspiration, not touching sorrow, and also seeing the Dharma. For example, a person desiring jewels goes to the Jewel Island, and after finding jewels, returns home. There, only the captain lives comfortably, not leaving the assembly of relatives and friends unhappy.
