The sky that represents the five elements, inseparable from the peaceful and wrathful deities, is the sky that liberates into the pure realm. The root holder (radiance of awareness), the life that moves (bindu), the extremely subtle (five lights), the impure (mind and ignorance), the life that trembles extremely (mind), these are the five lives. The body abides in the unborn body. It is said: nadi avadhuti, the body of light. It is said: The body that is unborn from the body, in the upside-down lotus of the heart, the wisdom vajra always abides. It is said: The body is also a person, god, or human, but the intention is the Dharma-nature Buddha. It is said: The human body is the actual Buddha. The three times are: cutting off the past, welcoming the future, and holding the present. However, the three times cannot appear simultaneously, so the past, future, and present are all brought into one time. Knowing that the nature of Om Ah Hum (ༀ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ།,Sanskrit: ,oṃ āḥ hūṃ,body, speech, and mind) has the characteristic of arising and ceasing, one should train the mind. Furthermore, in Heruka Galpo it is said: Abandoning at the base is like a poisonous tree in a commoner's garden. The path of training is like being seen by a wise physician. The transformer is a secret mantra practitioner, like a Brahmin who has accomplished mantra. The subduer is an inner practitioner, like a peacock seeing food. The Dzogchen practitioner who destroys himself in his own place is like the foundation of the great elements. So it is said. In the Treasury of Precious Instructions it is said: To understand the essence of the vehicle, one must know six things. One must know that the nature of afflictions is the fault of ordinariness. One must know that abandoning afflictions is the path of hearers and solitary realizers. One must know that taming afflictions is the path of bodhisattvas. One must know that transforming afflictions is the path of secret mantra. One must know that the complete nature is self-arisen wisdom. One must know that taking and abandoning liberation is without searching. If one possesses these, then there is no need for afflictions. So it is said. For example, if a poisonous tree grows in someone's garden, just touching or seeing it, or even being blown by the wind, will cause death. If one knows it is poison and is afraid, let alone touching it, one will not even go near it. Similarly, hearers and solitary realizers, for the outer five desires and the inner five poisons, etc., do not use them in their own nature as ordinary people, but abandon them. It is said that they are liberated from their own path. These two do not use desire as an antidote.

Meditating on ugliness, practicing loving-kindness as an antidote to hatred, meditating on the twelve links of interdependent origination as an antidote to ignorance, and contemplating the ugliness of forms through the Dharma, so that all mountains appear as mountains of bones and all plains appear as plains of bones. A Bodhisattva is like this: for example, a skilled physician, upon seeing a poisonous tree, knows that it is indispensable in the classification of various medicines. Therefore, he does not discard the root, stem, bark, branches, leaves, flowers, and fruits of the poisonous tree, but applies medicine to the poison, transforming it into a remedy for diseases. Similarly, Bodhisattvas do not need to abandon the five external sense pleasures and the five internal poisons, but cultivate their minds in the manner of the eight similes of illusion. The outer tantric schools say: When Master Nagarjuna taught the "Peacock Destroying Poison Sutra," for example, various poisons are collected and practiced. When the mantra for destroying poison is recited, the poisons are transformed into medicine. Similarly, according to the outer tantras, first, emptiness is cultivated through Svabhava (藏文,梵文天城体:स्वभाव,梵文罗马拟音:svabhāva,汉语字面意思:Self-nature), then the outer environment is transformed into a palace, the inner sentient beings are transformed into the nature of deities and goddesses, and the secret afflictions are transformed into the nature of wisdom. For example, with regard to alcohol, it must be blessed by Ha (藏文,梵文天城体:ह,梵文罗马拟音:ha,汉语字面意思:Ha), Ho (藏文,梵文天城体:हो,梵文罗马拟音:ho,汉语字面意思:Ho), and Hri (藏文,梵文天城体:ह्री,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:Hri). If it is separated from these three "Has," etc., then it will undoubtedly turn into poison. Ha destroys the color of the alcohol, Hri destroys the power of the taste, Ho transforms it into nectar, and the smell manifests in whatever way one desires. If there is no craving or attachment to the object, and one enjoys it with the confidence of view, then the wisdom arising from the four joys will be a support for arising in the continuum. If one does not have these and indulges immoderately, then if a mantra practitioner becomes intoxicated by alcohol, he will be born in a place of weeping and wailing. Furthermore, the two aspects of place and appearance are: the state of the basis of nature, and the state of illusory and deluded appearances. The state of place is, for example, the color of a conch shell is originally white, but appears yellow due to jaundice. In the state of place, the snow mountain is also originally white, but appears black due to eye disease. Similarly, the outer world and inner sentient beings, in terms of the state of place, originally abide in the nature of the Buddha, but appear in this way due to the influence of delusion and error. What needs to be purified is: the inconsistency between place and appearance.
