"The union of ignorance and emptiness" is what the Nyingma Vidyadhara lineage asserts. Thus it is said. Furthermore, although both consciousness and wisdom are clear and equal only in awareness, in terms of objects, there is a difference between not knowing things as they are and grasping them perversely, and knowing them as they are. It should be known that consciousness with grasping and clinging will regress, but wisdom will not regress. In short, one should directly and nakedly introduce the manifestation of the innate, uncontrived, and self-arisen wisdom of awareness and emptiness that transcends the eight aggregates of consciousness. Furthermore, "clear light" is not merely a negation of emptiness, but rather the Dharmadhatu, free from elaboration, has an aspect of awareness. Furthermore, one should understand the way the ground appearance arises, the way delusion and liberation arise from it, and the way delusion, once reverted to the ground, can no longer arise. Furthermore, the clinging to the tenets of the eight vehicles dissolves into the Dharmadhatu, and all these appearances of mistaken delusion are directly purified in their own place, so the false traces of terminology vanish into the Dharmadhatu, and one sees reality as it is. Furthermore, Nyagla Rinpoche asked Dodrup Rinpoche, "Are the view of Madhyamaka free from elaboration and the view of the three places of origin the same?" He replied, "They are not the same. Although the emptiness of samsara and nirvana is similar in being free from the eight extremes of elaboration, during meditative equipoise, unobstructed manifestation arises in the essence of reality, and whatever arises does not accumulate habitual patterns, but is naturally liberated like a snake's knot. These two points are the distinguishing features of the view of the three places of origin." Furthermore, the words of Choktrul Rinpoche: This awareness, inseparable from the Guru's mind, exists without obstruction. Since it is the Guru of the meaning of Dharmata, one must entrust oneself to it at the time of death. Furthermore, the words of Zhang Rinpoche: Keep mindfulness, awareness, and caution in a low place. Do not turn your mouth outward, but turn it inward. Do not listen to the words of others, but maintain your own position. Moisten your own mind with good thoughts. The Buddha's teachings are within yourself. Even though the body dwells in a village, the mind dwells in the meaning of solitude. Do not forget the Guru, and strive in devotion. Exert yourself in uncorrected self-awareness. The thoughts of the three times vanish without a trace. The clarity and purity beyond the mind. This vivid and vast awareness and wisdom, cultivate it day and night without interruption. Obtaining stability is the result, and in one moment, Buddhahood will be attained.

O. Oral instruction and advice. For example, in the act of prostrating, standing and sitting are not the accumulation of merit. Rather, it is the faith and reverence of knowing how to prostrate, and the thought of considering prostration as virtuous, that generate the accumulation of merit. This principle should be understood. The movement of steps in circumambulation is not the accumulation of merit. Rather, it is the very awareness of circumambulation itself. Building tsatsas and stupas, piling up earth and stones is not the accumulation of merit. Rather, it is the very notion of doing good. Offering butter lamps, burning butter lamps is not the accumulation of merit. Rather, it is the very notion of making offerings. Offering washing water, filling a bowl with water is not the accumulation of merit. Rather, it is the very notion of offering washing water that is the gateway to generating merit. The very awareness of a virtuous thought is a tiny seed of the ground, so the fruit is also generated by it, and the gateway to these is the self-existing wisdom of reality itself. If you do not know the oral instructions and key points, it is like a finger in the dark. Thus it is said. The three, Lama, Yidam, and Khandro, are said to be: Lama because their essence is inexpressible; Yidam because their sound is uninterrupted; and Khandro because their play arises without interruption. Thus it is said. The three attainments of understanding are: appearance is understood as without a basis; knowledge is understood as without an object; and awareness is understood as without support. The way of realization is to realize thoroughly and completely. The way of liberation is to liberate in original purity. The way of attainment is to abide in one's own place. Thus it is said. Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa said: Contentment abides in the perfection of generosity; its essence is the mind of giving. If one is not ashamed of the Three Jewels, there is discipline. If mindfulness and awareness are not lost, it is the best of patience. Diligence is needed as a companion for all. Contemplating appearance and attachment as deities is meditation. Self-liberation of grasping and attachment is wisdom. In that, there is no thought or object of thought. It is not ordinary, devoid of certainty. Nirvana and peace are supreme. These should not be spoken to everyone. Keep them as the essence of your mind. Thus it is said. In the Collection of Praises, it is said: Like water that dwells within the earth, it exists purely and truly. Likewise, within afflictions, wisdom also exists, in the same way, without impurity. Thus it is said. In the Samadhiraja Sutra, it is said: Purity, clarity, luminosity, unmoving, uncompounded nature, the meaning of the Dharma-nature that has always existed. Thus it is said. Lord Maitreya said: How it was before, so it is after.
