Pa. Therefore, the very basis is spontaneously present and naturally accomplished, hence it is called Spontaneously Accomplished. ༈ Confession of the Vajra Perfect View: Visualize two "Yam" syllables on the soles of your feet, one "Ram" syllable at the lower gate, six seed syllables of the six realms at the navel, one "Phat" syllable at the heart center, and clear ༀ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ at the three places. Thus, from the two "Yam" syllables on the soles of the feet, the wind of wisdom arises and strikes the "Ram" syllable. From the "Ram" syllable, the fire of wisdom blazes, burning the seed syllables of the six realms to ashes, so that not even a trace remains. Then, reciting "Phat," visualize the three doors purified into the nature of the three vajras, and rest in equanimity in the expanse of the great emptiness, free from elaboration. One session of meditation is more effective than one month of confession. It is said that one does not need more than that. Who confesses? Confesses with the wisdom that directly realizes the great nature of the Dharma realm. Where does one confess? Confesses in the expanse of the union of clarity and emptiness. What does one confess? Confesses the habitual tendencies gathered by grasping and fixation. How does one confess? It is said that one confesses in the nature of the four liberations, where conceptual thoughts are not abandoned but self-liberated, self-purified, self-extinguished, and liberated. The mind of enlightenment without hope or fear, The root and branches, all of them, Have not arisen with attachment or decay, have not been born, Liberated from the duality of confessor and confessed. Like that. ༈ First, introduce the wisdom of the meaning of empowerment, which must be held by the empowerment life-force vow. As it says in the Root Tantra of Manjushri: "The basis for holding the empowerments is the vow; if it is broken, it vanishes, like a painting on a crumbling wall." As it says in the Ornament of Kosala: "If one reviles the lama from the heart, even if one practices, it will not be accomplished." As it says in Fierce Lightning: "Why are the vajra siblings the best friends who accompany each other inseparable from here until enlightenment, like fire and oil, light and trees?" For the person with self-arising awareness, one must first introduce awareness. The similar aspects of emptiness, the two, do not need to be introduced. One must introduce from the basis of the two consciousnesses. Like the simile of a razor blade joining, one must explain by distinguishing the view. So it is said. Regarding the thoughts of the three times, the past has ceased and cannot be distinguished. The future has not yet arrived, so it cannot be distinguished. One must distinguish the aspect of the present consciousness that arises but does not cease.

Thus it is said. Mind, together with the eight consciousnesses, is conditioned, subject to arising and ceasing, impermanent, and fleeting. Awareness, however, is unconditioned, free from arising and ceasing, constant, and unchanging. This is the direct cutting view, the unobstructed awareness. In the "Three Words That Strike the Vital Point," it says, "Suddenly strike with a 'PHAṬ(藏文,梵文天城体,phaṭ,摧破)!' In that moment of astonishment, everything is clear." Therefore, maintaining that state of astonishment, awareness becomes unobstructed, both internally and externally, and must be realized. As the sutras say, through the four reliances, one should not rely on consciousness but on wisdom, not rely on provisional meaning but on definitive meaning, and so on. Mipham Rinpoche said, "This emptiness of mind, this naked awareness, is the guru's oral instruction that is directly seen." Thus it is said. Silently stopping conceptual thoughts of conditioning, slowly arising is the mandala of clear light, clearly appearing is the self-born wisdom, completely expanding is the original ground of being. Thus it is said. Jigme Lingpa said, "Even if an enemy performs evil deeds, it is a reminder to protect vows; even if speech is improper, it is an encouragement to do good. This is the guru who destroys attachment, so regard his kindness as impossible to repay." Thus it is said. Adverse conditions manifesting as the Dharmakaya are the father of clear light. Thus it is said. The fortress of view, the narrow path of meditation, and the life force of conduct, these three are called fortress, narrow path, and life force. Directly realizing the union of clarity and emptiness without error is called the fortress of view. This is not born from causes and conditions, not created by actions, not accomplished by effort, but possesses the three self-born dharmas. First, it is the place where all the complete Buddhas reside. Second, it is the ultimate realization of all yogis. Third, it is like a diamond that cannot be found by all subtle and coarse ego-grasping. For example, just as darkness has no opportunity in the presence of light. This is called the vast and expansive fortress of the Great Perfection, or the all-encompassing fortress. If the fortress is not seized, it is like awareness being the prince ascending the throne, and ignorance being like a blind old woman. If the prince does not seize the throne, he will listen to the words of the blind old woman, and afflictions will gather like an army, and mindfulness will be like the feet of the ministers.
