Although such a situation is not found in either the new or old scriptures, few understand it, and whatever good deeds are done must rely solely on evils such as killing. Like this, blaming secret mantras, and the prevalence of crude and promiscuous behavior and non-Dharma things, this only leads to the destruction of both oneself and others in this life and the next. Therefore, please consider making your own laws and that taming one's own mind is the most important thing. When all things appear like the illusions of gods and demons, you said which method is most effective in enhancing practice. Generally, in the eyes of ordinary worldly people and all common individuals, all the gods and demons, benefits and harms, good and bad of the phenomenal world are the infallible conventional cause and effect of interdependent origination, so one should not despise cause and effect. In general, one should cultivate loving-kindness and compassion, knowing all gods, demons, and obstacles as parents. By satisfying them with smoke offerings and illusory body offerings, and praying for good wishes in order to attain temporary and ultimate benefit and happiness, this is extremely profound and accumulates great merit. Furthermore, in the essence of ultimate truth, not only the illusions of gods and demons, but all phenomena of samsara and nirvana do not go beyond the illusions of one's own mind, and no demons can be found anywhere other than the delusions of the mind. The seer and feeler who sees the non-existent as existent is one's own mind. For example, no matter how much joy, sorrow, good, or bad one sees in a dream, it is merely a manifestation of the mind and does not exist in reality. Therefore, one must also integrate the essence of one's practice into the appearances of illusion and fear, thereby enhancing practice and transforming it into the path. If one is determined to practice Guru Yoga, one should generate devotion towards the gods and demons, believing them to be manifestations of the Guru. If one relies on the generation stage of the Yidam deity, one should purify appearances by thinking that all appearances and sounds are the nature of the deity and mantra, and that the gods and demons are also the Yidam deity. Please remember that if you focus on the view, meditation, and conduct of Mahamudra and Dzogchen, integrate these into your practice, and there is no need to seek other methods. I greatly admire your dedication to practice. Think

That which thinks it is staying in a state of abiding is the nature of awareness. Although the one who abides and the one who thinks about the way of abiding are not two, but one, if we temporarily differentiate, abiding is a distinction of experience, and the one who thinks he is abiding is the actual nature of mind, so that is what is most important. Similarly, when moving, the movement is conceptual thought. The one who thinks he is moving is memory, the nature of mind, so that is what is needed. Unless the awareness of memory is disturbed by smallness (of mind), there will be no movement when the memory (mind) is large. In reality, it is because there is no difference between the mover and the rememberer except for himself, so this is the key. When speaking and working, it should be done with clear awareness. Speaking should also be done as accurately as possible, and without being too attached to it, speaking, reciting, and repeating should be done in a just-right manner with fresh awareness, and all activities such as walking, sitting, eating, and drinking should be integrated into it, which is called illusory samadhi. If one cannot do this in all actions, but is too attached to whatever is being said, worked on, etc., and awareness does not come, then there is no difference from ordinary worldly people, and there is no name for meditation. One can speak in a state of clear awareness, but there is no need for someone to think, "Now there is awareness," because awareness itself naturally recognizes itself. In short, the boundary between samsara and nirvana is solely determined by whether or not one recognizes oneself. If one does not recognize one's own nature and the mind wanders, that is delusion. Once one recognizes one's own nature, there is no need for anything more than that mind at that time. Whether one does abiding, bliss-clarity-non-thought, etc., whatever one does, it is only a distinction of experience, and not actually seeing the nature of mind. Therefore, the essence of practice is to maintain the naked self-awareness without forgetting it. Before going to sleep, the way things happen to you appears as the dissolution of the elements in stages. Death and going to sleep are similar in direction, except for the degree of dissolution. In any case, there are many different kinds of instructions, both new and old, on how to go into the clear light of sleep, but it is difficult to give a key point. Therefore, familiarize yourself with this present awareness.
