It severs, and through wisdom, directly realizing, it dispels and severs attachment to merely hearing, etc. Thus, the confidence arising from the path is that of knowing the meaning of the four realizations, and understanding that awareness itself is the path of the yogi. This is not like in the characteristic vehicle, where one first cultivates the cause and then waits for the time when the result—becoming a Buddha—will occur in the future. Instead, it is through the power of wisdom that one directly realizes and gains confidence in the present moment. Furthermore, in the "Differentiation," it is said: Maha Yoga asserts that the seven treasures are inherently accomplished, not in the way the original ground is established before the manifestation of the ground appearance in Dzogchen. Rather, at this time when the ground appearance has already manifested, the basis is established as the great purity of self-nature, where all phenomena that appear from the dharmata, which is unmoved from the realm of equality of self-nature, are inherently pure. This basis, even at the time when the two purities of being free from sudden defilements are complete, is established as the great purity and equality of before. It is established in a state where there is no result superior to this manifestation. If considered in terms of appearance, although there is a difference between the basis of self-nature purity and the purity of being free from sudden defilements, and the realm is considered the result, it is not without difference. However, at the time of negation, it must be established as it is. If it is not established in this way, one will not realize samsara as nirvana. Although differentiation is in terms of appearance, it does not negate that, in terms of reality, samsara and nirvana are equal, because in terms of reality, there is no impurity. Thus it is said. Moreover, if self-nature does not exist at all, how do all phenomena appear? Because they are established by mere names, they are only illusions of letters. However, if the letters themselves are not mixed with the fault of inverted confusion that is incompatible with the appearance of the place, then all the appearances of what they signify and what they transform are only extremely pure appearances that transcend inverted appearances. Therefore, all appearances and existences abide in the original way of abiding, remaining only as the illusion of speech secret mantra. The letters of speech secret mantra are pure letters, free from the fault of inverted confusion, and are the illusion and function of vast purity, arising from this. In terms of appearance, the letters of the mind's self-appearance have endless names and words of illusion.

Also. The reality is that in the nouns and terms of self-appearing wisdom, there is nothing that does not contain the letters of secret mantra. This is the fourth chapter, the section on the logic of letters, examining whether it is needed. Next, the seed that generates all perfectly pure deity bodies is the letters of speech mantra. All Buddhas abide in mere names, tracing back to the detailed explanation in the fourth chapter. The seed that generates all phenomena that appear as aggregates, etc., is the Dharmadhatu or the innate realm of mind. Here, it is a part of the way of abiding of clear light, which is inconceivable, non-conceptual, or free from elaboration. That itself is the ultimate refuge of all mantras that protect the mind, such as during the empowerment of Vajrapani, the Dharmadhatu is established as many names such as deity, mantra, mudra, etc., and it is said to accomplish the meaning of accomplishment. It is empty or pure of adventitious elaborations, and all appearances arise from its essence, which means that all appearances are pure from the beginning, or pure from the ultimate seed of the basis of arising, and pure from the beginning. Therefore, the Dharmadhatu is the seed mantra, namely A (ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A). It arises like a transformation, a self-appearance, an illusion of an undifferentiated mantra, and is the deity body, represented by O (ཨོ, Devanagari: ओ, Romanized Sanskrit: o, Literal Chinese meaning: O). Thus, the Dharmadhatu and all the various appearances that arise from it are the very nature of the supreme mantra, the uncommon nature, the completely pure three bodies, abiding solely in the cradle of deity mantra. The mind that realizes it is the knowing aspect or the aspect of awareness of clear light itself. The way of realizing it is also that both the Dharmadhatu and the objective appearance manifest as nothing other than the aspect of awareness itself, so that both the objects to be realized are perfected in the realm of the realizers, just as both A (ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A) and O (ཨོ, Devanagari: ओ, Romanized Sanskrit: o, Literal Chinese meaning: O) are perfected in Om (ༀ, Devanagari: ओ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om). The meaning of Om (ༀ, Devanagari: ओ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om) is: Look to the mind that is free from grasping and being grasped, all appearances are self-appearances, wisdom and awareness are very wonderful. This is the same as that. At the time of realization, appearance, awareness, and Dharmadhatu are extensively mixed and not only become boundless clear light, but also when the Dharmadhatu is not realized, from the moment of clinging to self-appearance, vessel, essence, and the three continuums as one's own, it pervades in the manner of knowing, pervading in the manner of the oneness of the nature of awareness, and the nature of awareness does not change into good or bad, it is boundless, that is, deep and vast, without end, spreading without partiality, mind self-appearance, all.
