It is the nature itself. All of samsara and nirvana do not go beyond this one nature, which is the single cause. Realization through the meaning of letters is that such a nature of indivisible appearance and emptiness is taught to be enlightened from the very beginning as the body, speech, and mind, the Dharma of the fruition. In that, all dharmas are unproduced, represented by A (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: A), which is the nature of speech. The very nature of unproducedness appears as illusion and is capable of acting, represented by O (Tibetan: ཨོ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ, Sanskrit Romanization: o, Chinese literal meaning: O), which is the nature of the body. The awareness that realizes in this way, the illusory wisdom without beginning or end, is represented by Oṃ (Tibetan: ༀ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Om), realizing it as the nature of the mind. Moreover, from the very beginning, there is never any addition or subtraction of acceptance or rejection in that wisdom of the union of appearance and emptiness. Because it is naturally completely pure, samsara is the great primordial enlightenment. Its play abides in the three mandalas from the very beginning, which is realization through the meaning of letters. Realization through blessing is knowing the power and blessing of those two types of realization. For example, just as white cloth has the power to be blessed and dyed red by madder, the power to bless all dharmas as enlightened from the very beginning is also known and realized to be blessed by the power of the single cause and the meaning of letters. Therefore, although all dharmas are enlightened from the very beginning, they will not benefit those who do not possess the two realizations. If one possesses these two, then benefit will appear. Through the power of the two realizations, all dharmas appear as if blessed to be enlightened from the very beginning, therefore it is called realization through blessing. Realization through direct perception: In general, there are sense direct perceptions, etc., but here it refers to the direct perception of the faculty of wisdom. That is, it should be understood as the wisdom of individual discernment. That all dharmas abide in the state of enlightenment from the very beginning is not contradictory to the scriptures that say "it is so" and the oral instructions of the lineage of gurus. For example, just as one knows whether gold is genuine or not, whether it has flaws or not, whether it is good or bad. Scriptures do not confuse the generalities. For the various direct, indirect, hidden, and intentional meanings in the scriptures, the oral instructions eliminate their faults, therefore there is faith. Although there are scriptures and oral instructions, there are also those who merely follow the words and sounds without having gained experiential realization in the depths of their minds.
